I am a family member of a patient that was referred to Dr Riyaz Bhikoo. I can not speak highly enough of this doctor. He explained everything to my father and myself in a way that we could both understand and why dad would require the surgery. Both before and after the surgery he included me in all discussions, showing and explaining the scans. Thank you Dr Bhikoo for your professionalism and caring nature. I was extremely nervous when I was first told I may require surgery on my eye to repair a tear in my Macular, as I have had eye trouble all my life and very little vision in the eye that needed operated on. I was referred to Dr Bhikoo and wow what an amazing experience. From my first visit he made me feel calmer, explaining everything in terms that I could understand. Dr Bhikoo's professionalism and caring nature is outstanding, and I would highly recommend/refer him to anyone.

The entire visit was top class, from the time it took to be seen, the wonderful receptionist/assistant and of course Dr. Bhikoo. He was personable, friendly and extremely professional, He provided me with information as I requested it was quick to reassure me when necessary, (I was very nervous at first), but his calm demeanour and evident professionalism, reassured me almost immediately. All in all a top class Dr, excellent experience. Would have no qualms at all about recommending him!

Dr. Bhikoo performed laser surgeries on both of my eyes for a detached retina. I was extremely nervous/squeamish about these operations and he took the time to empathetically explain what he was doing and why. He also was just very calm throughout and his calmness helped me calm down too. For each surgery, he talked me through the entire procedure which helped tremendously. I can't thank Dr. Bhikoo enough for his care. I wouldn't wish for anyone to have to need this surgery, but if you do, his skill, professionalism, and genuine empathy and care made it a lot easier to go through. I feel very lucky to have had him for my doctor. I wish he was staying in Canada!

I cannot say enough about the skill and professionalism of Dr Bhikoo. I was so fortunate to have him as my Dr for my emergency eye surgery. He knows his profession inside out and was amazed that he could get me back to normal life so quickly. Thank you Dr Bhikoo. When you eventually return to your home country New Zealand, Canada will be losing a great Doctor.

Thanks to Dr Bhikoo's skill, care and dedication to his patients, my wife as able to regain her vision following significant eye damage. He was able to explain the procedure very clearly and in such a way the we non-medical people were able to understand. Once he decided that surgery was necessary, it was organised in a very short space of time, as was the follow up surgery.
What impressed me the most was his calm caring manner and the way in which he eased my wife's concerns. This is no easy feat as my wife is extremely uncomfortable in hospital and is reluctant to undergo any operations. To his credit , my wife was able to have the surgery in a relaxed state
His post operative care deserves the highest commendation. He has continued to touch base with my wife at the clinic to check on her progress. I am extremely grateful to him

It has been an incredibly trying ten months for me, having undergone five separate procedures to re-attach my retina. Dr. Riyaz was remarkably supportive and persistent throughout this period. I met Dr Riyaz Bhikoo at the Royal Perth Hospital Eye Clinic. He performed laser on my eyes and also did both my eyes with cataracts he was very reassuring on the procedure. Talked to me through the whole surgery and was explaining everything as he did it Which was very reassuring and I felt that I was in good hands.He is very confident and great at his job .I would highly recommend him

The first time i met Dr Riyaz Bhikoo was i presented to a Perth Hospital ED with a hole in the Macular he had to operate as soon as possible but there was a problem i suffer from Nosocomephobia (fear of hospitals) my blood pressure goes extremely dangerous but Dr Riyaz persisted this operation had to happen or lose my sight for some reason the way Dr Riyaz treated and talked to me i felt at ease with him he was very informative and very understanding of my condition he operated and it went very well i attended some clinics to see him and found him very good in explaining thing which made me settle when in his company since the Mocular Hole surgery Dr Riyaz has now done Cataract Surgery on the same left eye and Artificial Lens replacement all done whilst i was awake he talked to me all through surgery to keep me calm and to let me know what he was doing everything thing is going great with my new eye sight i still attend his clinics for regular checkups i was lucky i had the pleasure of having Dr Riyaz do my surgery a very professional doctor and very informative and even through i get scared of hospitals i do look forward to my visits to see Dr Riyaz and thanks for the excellent work you done on my eye.
