I was rushed by ambulance on 8/6/2021 to Well Span, Lebanon hospital with severe abdominal pain and diarrhea since July 14. Dr. Rafeeq Ahmed was the Gastroenterologist assigned to my case. He and his surgical staff were wonderful during the colonoscopy procedure performed while in the hospital. (Of course, the prep for that test is the absolute worst!) I wouldn't have made it through the night without the constant care of nurse Deborah. Dr. Ahmed was very thorough explaining before and after the procedure what he saw and that he took biopsies. After being released from the hospital on 8/12/2021, his office has called twice to set-up a 4-week appointment, explained the diagnosis of the results of the biopsies which Dr. Ahmed will explain in further detail with me. Two different women from his office staff have called and have been very personable, friendly and extremely helpful to me asking how I was feeling, explaining what foods to continue eating, what medication I should take, etc. They both said if I have any questions, to please call the office. I'm looking forward to my visit with Dr. Ahmed to continue with his caring for numerous types of serious colitis diagnosed by him. I thought I was going to die from the pain and Dr. Rafeeq Ahmed saved my life! I hope and pray with his continued care that I will start the slow process of healing within the next few months to years! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
