My cardiologist for 5 years. Nothing but good things to say. He never rushes me. He explains why he is doing tests. He draws pictures all the time. He performs an EKG and blood work before every visit. Would highly recommend.

Among many, I have lost a bit of faith in the health care system, usually feeling like issues are not addressed and are brushed under the rug until they become big enough. For this I don't blame the physicians at all (they have exhausting workloads) -- appointments are usually rushed because they have so many patients to see, and you leave with more questions than you came in. With Dr. Bains, I was so impressed. He thoroughly explained what was going on, gave visual examples, and investigated beyond the norm with his questions. I don't normally leave reviews but when I walked out I was just happy with the care and wanted everyone to know.

Great staff and great Dr. I feel so very lucky that he was the cardiologist that I got when I was taken by ambulance to Abbotsford Hospital. The care I've received since then has been excellent.

I saw him for Atrial Fibrillation after going to hospital twice. He explained this condition in detail and we have plan moving forward. He has referred me for ablation at St Pauls.

needed a med perscription and he knew the drug but perscribed a different one. the one i wanted would be paid for by my company ins but he, in his wisdom, perscribed one that wasnt and he (3 requests for a change) wouldnt do what was asked... the drug is 300 a month.. what do you think.. i am at a loss for words about his lack of response to do the change.. WHY

He was absolutely arrogant and rude. He must’ve said about 4 times how he’s “the heart doctor” and he’s “the heart expert”. Terrible beside manners

I first met Dr. Bains in Abbotsford, ER. He was caring, absorbed my history, and went so far as to print out a document explaining what was going on and what I could do non-pharmacologically. Recently, I had to return to ER. Since that time, Dr. Bains has been very thorough in testing, diagnosing, and treating me. I have every confidence in him. My condition cannot be cured, but it can be managed, giving me a better quality of life. I feel blessed to have him as my cardiologist. I highly recommend him.
