Biography

Dr. Mark Kolasa is a board certified electrophysiologist at ECU Health Heart & Vascular locations in Greenville and Roanoke Rapids. He specializes in heart rhythm issues, using advanced cardiac mapping techniques to treat conditions like atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Following several years of service as an Officer in the United States Air Force, Dr. Kolasa pursued a medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Wilford Hall Medical Center before going on to complete an additional fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Kolasa completed his active duty service to the USAF as a Senior Medical Officer and Department Chief of the Heart, Lung and Vascular Center at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base.
