It’s come to my attention that Dr Leena has moved jobs yet again. If I could show a screenshot of her very short residencies in every different hospitals/clinics I would. I will list them below; As a former patient of this doctor this has come as no surprise to me as I have never experienced such atrocities towards patients that Leena has commited. Negligence, complete lack of empathy, little to no intelligence on medications which has caused danger to her patients, zero punctuality, extreme arrogance, and my own experience personally put a danger to my life. My family were left in shock with her treatment and behaviour. Dr Leena lasted less than a year and a half in St John of Gods Hospital. She now seems to have opened a very skeptical private clinic. I think this pattern of short term, job to job, isn’t a coincidence to show the abomination of a doctor that Dr Leena is. I found this on Dr Leena’s linked in page: Clinics listed below:

Consultant Pyschiatrist: St John Of Gods: June 2021- October 2022 (1 and 6 months )

Consultant Psychiatrist: HSE January 2021- June 2021 (6 months)

Consultant Psychiatrist: Highfield Healthcare October 2019- January 2021 (1 year 4 months)

Finally find a place where Dr Leena actually last more then a year and a half where she didn’t serve as a Consultant Psychiatrist just a consultant: Health Service Executive July 2012- October 2019 (7 years)

I had a great experience with Dr Leena.
She mad me feel relaxed and understood. She is so kind and caring, very down to earth and says it how it is. Very happy with my treatment from her.

I didn't want to leave a negative review, but as I have had no help elsewhere, this is my only option. I thought my initial consultation was great having no idea what to expect. Dr Naughton was friendly and I liked her.
However she was late, and hadn't read any of the required forms myself, my partner and both parents had all spent a lot of time on, and we finished without having enough time to complete the consultation. She followed up by phone, but after that things went awry.
She firstly prescribed me medication, then regressed to telling me not to take it until various tests were done, whch my GP had actually brought up first, not her.
Then she disagreed with the GP's assessment of the tests, even when a second GP agreed with the first.
She kept mentioning she hadn't received my family medical history although it was never asked for.
Overall I became a nervous wreck going back between GP and her receptionist.
Having paid a lot of money I'm now stuck in a position where the only way forward is to have a cardiac exam or something, that my GP said was unnecessary, no one to talk to for advice, and will have to fork out more money to go to someone else to restart the whole diagnosis process.
I've emailed her my complaints, requesting a refund. I've contacted and explained the situation to ADHD Ireland and the Mental Health Commission who were both very sympathetic to my situation, but unable to act as they cannot approach a psychiatrist. They seem a law unto themselves, so they can take our money with no comeback that I'm aware of. I found the whole thing exhausting, stressful and totally unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend Dr Naughton.

I was feeling a mixture of emotions entering my first session with Dr Naughton. Was I going to get the missing piece finally or was I just going to be told nope you’re fine. I was so nervous and emotional but once I got there (late) I was welcomed and made totally at ease and felt comfortable in her presence. Dr Naughton took the whole assignment at a pace that suited me. Parts were tough , old memories of school etc. When I was upset Dr Naughton was kind and empathetic. When she gave me my diagnosis I was relieved and the guidance and advice for me going forward has really helped. Iv been 3 times and 4th session soon. (2ad time there I was a day late and she still took me in and reassured me that it was ok)Each time is just as welcoming and comfortable. Not only is Dr Naughton a very good Doctor she also is very down to earth , and really gets where you’re coming from and understands and hears you. I would recommend Dr Leena Naughton.

Leena was just wonderful, she really made me feel seen and validated. It was a really wonderful assessment process and she made me feel so at ease. I left feeling empowered and capable of the journey ahead with my diagnosis of ADHD. She is a wonderful psychiatrist and I look forward to being her patient.

My rating has seemed to be removed and this page has all of a sudden been flooded with wonderful comments about Dr. Leena Naughton, I did not think this was allowed, for a rating to be removed and could make an educated guess she was involved in getting it removed, however,
Dangerous, dangerous Doctor. For your mental health, for your medications. Completely unprofessional, I had to see a new psychiatrist to basically fix me from the extreme maltreatment of this women. I beg you to really think about becoming a patient under this 'doctor' and I think it's down right dangerous for vunrable people reading this forum with all her great reviews thinking they are going to get any type of professional help. I have known many other patients who have had to change psychiatrists because of the malpractice and how she has actually made the patients worse, in order for their next psychiatrist to fix. Huge red flag warning, she ruined my life, seriously and it took a long time to out the pieces back together, I feel triggered and frightened if I even hear her name and think back to the memories and torture I endured. I am genuinely scared for the next victims encounters. Please take heed.

Absolutely amazing and highly knowledgeable, Dr. Naughton is an absolute delight to work with and is very clear, concise and was extremely helpful in getting my diagnosis. She provides assistance every step of the way and I could not recommend her more!

I could not recommend Dr Naughton more. I was previously assessed 9 years ago for Autism and ADHD but the psychiatrist has since retired so I had to be reassessed before I could start any treatment. I was very nervous before the appointment as I was afraid I would not come across the right way during the assessment having been coping with my ASD and ADHD for the past 9 years and being hyper aware of all my traits. Dr Naughton had me instantly at ease and was so easy to open up to. In my past dealing with other psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists. I struggled to open up and it took much longer but with Dr Naughton this was not the case at all, she created a very relaxed and safe environment.

I went into my appointment with Dr. Naughton not knowing what to expect. She immediately made me feel comfortable to talk to her. To go through a full assessment with any clinician can be intimidating and exhausting, but Dr. Naughton made sure I was ready to talk and I never felt rushed or pushed. Dr. Naughton took the time to understand where I was coming from regarding my concerns, and I felt that she *wanted* to see from my perspective, to understand me. I hadn't felt this ease of talking to someone who was non-judgemental and open in a very long time, and Dr. Naughton helped me to get a better knowledge and understanding of my process of thinking. Her knowledge is great, and she makes it easier for me to comprehend by using examples - this also increased my opinion that she wanted to help as much as possible. We collaborated and made a plan together, which I really appreciated because I felt that she respected me as an individual person with my concerns and preferences and she answered any questions I had (and provided further information if I needed it). Overall, a comprehensive and excellent Psychiatrist - I strongly feel that I am in very good hands, in her care, and most importantly, I feel *heard* and *understood.*

For this first time in my life I feel understood and listened to I feel like today was the Start of my new beginnings for me and learning to understand myself I'm so pleased and happy with dr. Leenas work I travelled long way and every minute was worth it at 31 I'm finally getting where I need to be.
