I was very impressed with Dr Uys. We have had horrible experiences in Lethbridge with Dr's and I was very happy with the time and care he took in giving us his expert advice.

Dr. Uys called me to address my concerns regarding a previous review that I choose to delete before hearing from him. I appreciate that. I am still sick, no answers and not doing very well. After speaking with him, I do feel like he does care and he’s doing the best he can. Make sure you get your emotions in check before you leave reviews here. Dr uys comes across as a nice caring guy. But at the end of the day if a dr does not take the concerns of their patients seriously, or downplays the length and severity of symptoms their patients are describing, because of some preconceived bias or prejudice they may have, then no matter how nice they come across, they are not a good doctor.

I really wanted to give this dr the benefit of the doubt. He treated all three of my kids at one point. When my two older boys were getting strep throat back to back, each of them 7 times within a 6 month span, often times two weeks apart he did nothing to help us. His approach was to wait until they grow out of it. It wasn’t until we saw pediatrician that we got the help we needed.

What really turned me off was how he treated my now 9 month old who he diagnosed with an airway defect as a newborn. When my baby started to refuse drinking milk during the day because of his swallowing issues he dismissed it as a cold. The struggles went on for months and he was losing weight until he was finally old enough for solids. We are now waiting on a second opinion because he still struggles to swallow liquids and is at risk for dehydration.

While other patients may have had good experiences with him, for whatever reason he has never taken me seriously and my kids have never gotten the support from him that they should have had.

I had twins born prematurely and Dr. Uys was very involved in their care. He continues to see them. He is knowledgeable and above all patient with explanations and and patient with them. I have plenty of medical experience and would not look any further for pediatric care, or for another ENT in Lethbridge

A wonderful doctor. He is a very caring doctor who goes above and beyond to care for his patients. Even after some complications from my thyroidectomy he was so pleasant to deal with. I always found his staff to be friendly and Dr Uys is very punctual but you never feel rushed in your appointments.

I was nervous about the appointment because who likes to have sinus/voice box checked!! Dr. Uys has great patient manner! A welcomed attitude!!

Dr. Uys is what every Dr. should be. He is genuinely concerned and cares for his patients. He made time to see me even when I’m sure it wasn’t ideal for him and followed up with me after surgery. :)
