Came to Dr. Wilkinson from Winnipeg(wait times in Manitoba are very very long) had my heart test done in no time. The entire staff are very friendly and knowledgeable .

Prior to seeing Dr. Wilkinson I’d been to two other cardiologists, both in MJ, who wouldn’t even do any imaging on my heart despite fainting spells with intense chest pain. I have bipolar disorder as well and I’ve found with specialists in particular they can tend to treat me like a hypochondriac instead of listening to my symptoms and trusting those.

I was dispirited beyond belief, and had to be almost rude with my GP to keep advocating for me. I asked that of one of my other doctors and they simply replied, “sometimes you have no other choice than to take no for an answer”.

But I was determined, after each fainting session (and I mean instant unconsciousness, break your nose in an aisle at Safeway kind of fainting, making everything dangerous).

Dr. Wilkinson, immediately after a brief oral interview had an ultrasound at his clinic, and oh I forgot to mention my mother exhibited all the same symptoms I was, too, and sure enough, Olympus left ventricle was hyper overgrown with muscle tissue, a congenital condition!

Along with that the same in my aorta, extra tissue that was constructing blood flow. And whether extra or not, if I do more than regular exercise I get huge chest pains from all that extra heart tissue needing more oxygen and that sends alerts to your brain telling it to send all available oxygen to my heart, which causes the fainting and every time I get one of these things hit it has a very high chance of turning into a heart attack.

I’m very grateful as if my GP hadn’t listened after two cardiologist referrals already but both complete duds and Dr. Wilkinson wasn’t so highly competent I’d certainly be dead, I’d have had only a 0.075% chance at f living still.

And this way my daughters doctor got her on the two medications I take now yo stop the extra heart tissue growth. I’m still angry with those first two, they absolutely didn’t do their due diligence with my care and I’m lucky to be alive, yes, but I can get even moderate exercise again and other impediments that involves vigourous anything which is no fun at all. 😟

Sooo grateful to Dr. Wilkinson, I wouldn’t be alive if he hadn’t listened to me where two other heart specialists in Moose Jaw already had completely blown me off after the shortest cursory examination I largely suspect because I have bipolar affective disorder and they somehow equated that with having delusions about heart conditions? It doesn’t make much sense but thank sGod for good specialists like Dr. Wilkinson among a sometimes seeming sea of poor doctors that just don’t do the simplest things, like listening to their patients.

After waiting 2 mths. to get an echocardiogram and the test results , we were told we would have to wait until the end of March beginning of April for a consultation with the cardiologist. Reason given not urgent. My husbands symptoms were getting worse so we decided to get a second opinion with Dr. Wilkinson.
We called and sent the Echocardiogram results to his office and got an appointment within 4 days . We saw him on April 6th. He ran some tests , asked lots of questions and the next day told us that my husband needed open heart surgery , that his leaky valve was serious . He referred him to Dr. Booker for an angiogram and Dr. Korkola , heart surgeon. Two weeks to the day , my husband had 3 artery bypasses and his mitral valve repaired. All three doctors individually stated that the timing of the surgery gave my husband the best heart health outcome ! We are grateful and amazed by the staff at Regina General and for Dr. Wilkinson's assessment. Although there is a cost to visit his clinic it is a small price to pay to get the information you need in a timely manner. We highly recommend his clinic

I called and got in within the week. I was finding it difficult to get answers from anyone in the public system since we're from outside of Saskatoon. All our tests were done at this clinic on the same day and we finally got answers. 100% I'd recommend it and come back they are running a slick operation. This is the way seeing a specialist doc is supposed to be. It's private but hey its your life and I've spent more money on stupider things.

Great Doctor! Very unfortunate he went private. My insurance doesn't cover the cost. Sad!! I think he was my hope for a final diagnosis!

I self-referred to Dr Wilkinson this fall after a recent diagnosis of atrial fibrillation. I'm very grateful he's there to provide access valuable services and expertise so quickly. I'd encourage anyone to contact his office for a consultation/testing. We're from Saskatoon but the office staff suggested a great AirBnB close by. The entire team is professional and caring.

I support Dr. Wilkinson because I wouldnt be alive without him. His clinic has provided the best service to me and I’ll stick with him. We need more Drs like him to stay in the province and the government needs to support the people Like him who look after us.

I was referred to Dr. Wilkinson by my family Dr. And was totally impressed with the quality of the staff there. They were all knowledgeable, professional and took time to ensure I understood all the processes. The technology in the office is first class and I could not of been happier with the experience. I highly recommend Dr. Wilkinson .
