Biography

Dr. Claiborne is one of the few plastic surgeons in Louisiana with additional aesthetic surgery fellowship training endorsed by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic. His rigorous training background with internationally renowned surgeons are testimony to his commitment to combine cutting edge innovation with proven techniques. Dr. Claiborne answers to the highest code of ethics and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Claiborne, a New Orleans native, attended the University of Virginia for college where he graduated in the top 1% of his class, earning him two academic scholarships for medical school. He graduated LSU Medical School in New Orleans at the top of his class, earning him the Norma C. Ragland Academic Achievement Award as well as selection into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Claiborne completed a six-year plastic surgery residency at the prestigious Wake Forest Program in North Carolina. Wake Forest Plastic Surgery is renowned for its pioneering and development of plastic surgeries now being performed throughout the world. As a resident, he published and presented over 30 plastic surgery research projects and he was recognized by the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons with the Nicholas Georgiade Award for the best research project. After six years of plastic surgery training, the internationally-recognized Wall Center for Plastic Surgery selected Dr. Claiborne from an elite pool of applicants from around the world for their aesthetic surgery fellowship endorsed by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. During the fellowship, Dr. Claiborne refined his surgical technique working with some of the world’s experts to allow Dr. Claiborne to offer the most effective and safest techniques to his patients.
