Biography
Dr James Gohar is a board-certified women’s health specialist and part of the team of OB/GYNs at Forest Hills Medical Services, a comprehensive clinical obstetrics and gynecology practice. Dr Gohar is committed to staying current with the latest advances and technology, so you can feel confident that you are getting the highest level of care available. He is renowned for his extensive skills and expertise in performing a wide range of in-office gynecological procedures. He also specializes in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and has a particular expertise in managing uterine fibroids and adenomyosis. Dr Gohar believes that how you are treated at our office is just as important as the medical care you receive. Dr Gohar is very easy to talk to and always make his patients feel at ease. He aims to build lifelong relationships with his patients. He offers women personalized care and takes the time with each patient to really understand their concerns. Dr. Gohar received his medical degree from the historical Cairo University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the Medical College of Georgia. He is affiliated with Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital in midtown Manhattan, which is consistently ranked as one of the top hospitals for maternity and gynecologic care in the country. Dr. Gohar has garnered numerous awards and distinctions since completing his medical degree. He received the Best Teacher Award at Nassau University Medical Center in 2010 and was honored with membership by the Leading Physicians of the World in 2014. Dr Gohar is a Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell School of Medicine and attending OB/GYN at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Mount Sinai West.
