TAKE AWAY HIS LICENSE!!!! Worst experience I've had with a walk in Dr. My boyfriend has seen him and said the same thing. He does not listen to you, I knew more than he did about what I should be tested for and the proper protocol, but he didn't listen to me at all. He called me and told me things were normal, then I asked about another test result, he forgot he even ordered it but then told me something was wrong and to follow up...so I panicked and I followed up with another doctor and nothing was wrong. Everything was normal... This guy is a joke. DON'T SEE HIM unless you're just going in for a prescription or a specific referral. Do not take his advice, you are in really bad hands with him. I am appalled by this type of care.

I am surprised by the reviews below. I don' t need a Doctor to be my best friend, I need them to be professional and well informed. Dr. McKnight is efficient, professional and knowledgable and I think he is an excellent doctor.

This doctor should lose his liscence. He is so rude, mean and doesn’t care about his patients. He is the worst doctor I have ever met. The clinic should fire him . Do not see him. Wait another day to see someone else.

This guy is a joke ,He will not listen to what you tell him, As if only his opinion counts and you don,t know what you are talking about, He will rush out the door ending your appointment before you get the critical answers, several time,s he hand,s me a piece of paper and tell,s me to look it up myself online. this guy is very unprofessional and arrogant 5 years as a doctor he think,s he know,s it all , This is the worst doctor i have seen in my 60 year,s of doctor,s visit,s ,,,,,I DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY WITH MY LIFE AT ALL !!!!

Dr. Mcknight is not a healthcare professional. Meaning he doesn't care about my health or act in a professional way. Having a chronic illness that needs attention it wasn't until I started viewing my results online that I saw that he doesnt really look at them. Do i really have to micromanage my own health and google results? I took my young daughter in once and his bedside manor with a child was terrible it can be quite scary for little kids. He didnt even give her a general check just felt her tummy. I do not feel cared for under this dr, he is rude and its utterly disappointing that someone like this even has a job at this level. If you dont like being a GP change your line of work.

Dr. Ian McKnight is a delightful, intelligent physician who doesn't suffer fools gladly. He is supportive without being condescending or patronizing. He treats with a proactive style - patient is as responsible as the physician for their care. Wish he had more time (but this is the nasty for all GPs). I appreciate dealing with a doctor that doesn't treat me like an infant/child. Will continue with him indefinitely. Super good doctor!

The first time I saw Dr McKnight as a walk-in patient, he took me on as my doctor and I was greatful. He has been pleasant to deal with, knowledgeable, and will refer when he feels it's warranted . He has taken the time to listen and acts on my concerns. He even acts on concerns I didn't know I had after reviewing lab work or x-rays. Compared to 2 or more hours of wait time with my previous doctor - the very short wait time now with Dr McKnight is fantastic. Dr's have patients and patients need patience some times.

After waiting 15 years for a family doctor in Sooke, I finally got a call and was introduced to Dr. Ian McKnight. He has been my doctor for 1 1/2 years now. I have always found him to be thorough and helpful. Not a pill pusher - always has referred me to alternate ways (exercise, physiotherapy, etc.) rather than just giving me a prescription. No, he is not always on time, but I attribute this to him being very thorough in dealing with his patients.
