Horrible. This is the most unethical doctor I have ever encountered. I've been in the medical field for 30 years. Instead of telling me he was clinically unqualified to handle my case, he found multiple excuses including blaming me and my physicians of not taking my diabetes seriously. He was unqualified and doesn't know the most recent ways to treat diabetes and told me he would arrange for me to see a new endocrinologist this week. Multiple other things were said by him at which point he got up and told me to go to U of M for my care. He didn't give me any information how to contact this particular department and REFUSED to give me a referral. After extensive searching and wrong calls I found the correct department and the Unversity wouldn't even talk to me without having the referral in hand. When I called his office and said I needed a referral, he refused. At some point during all these conversations one of his staff told me to go to the ER. Having a tooth extracted is most definitely not an appropriate ER visit. He was playing games with me. I have worked with many fine physicians over the years and I know game playing and ego issues when I see them, when they are challenged. If you want someone with a typical God complex taking care of you, this is the man for you. Sad thing about his ego is he doesn't have the capability to back it up.
