2024 Update:

My experience with Dr. Akinsete has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Not only does this doctor cancel appointments without any effort to reschedule, but they also fail to follow up on crucial MRI and blood test reports.

To make matters worse, upon reviewing my patient notes, I discovered alarming inaccuracies and outright lies. This lack of honesty and accountability is unacceptable in a medical professional.

Feeling abandoned and let down by Dr. Akinsete's lack of professionalism, I strongly advise others to seek care elsewhere. Patients deserve better than this level of neglect and disregard for their well-being.

I am forced to file a formal complaint with the colleges as a result of Dr Akinsete refusing my care

I tried to reach out in September of 2022 as I was in search of a family doctor but didn't get a response. I understand they are overworked so it wasn't an issue. January 2023, I had a health issue and needed a family doctor - i tried again and got booked for an appointment 3 days later and it's been an amazing experience since then.

Anywhere from 2-3 weeks wait for an appointment. & Doctor is never on time. When someone has to take time off work, you anticipate for your doctors appointments to be on time or relatively on time. 45minutes to 1 hour if you are lucky. There’s a no show fee for $30, now I have never been late or a no show but should there not be a fee for a doctor who is ALWAYS late. Clearly doesn’t care for other peoples’ time. Only plus side is, he is helpful when you finally see him.

He has a very rude incompetent staff, even with an appointment wake in patients are seen first. Even with an appointment for a Senior flu shot I arrived to find my flu shot was given to another person and I needed to come back some other time. The doctor was very helpful, he did listen and made every attempt to get me help after botched medical care elsewhere, he did know how to see to getting me cleaned up. However I found with COVID I could not reach him via phone, or virtual ever. His appointment system did not seem to work for me. I need medical help so I need to find another doctor who can be available.

Dr. Folajimi Vincent Akinsete is absolutely an awesome Family Physician in the City Of Mississauga at his Reflex Medical Centre Clinic borders the Town Of Oakville. His specialty and area of interest is in Tropical Diseases, Infectious Diseases and Parasitic Infections. When I video webcam chatted with him for the first time appointment, he accepted me as a patient which OHIP covers. He is very kind, respectful, punctual and get things done. My follow up visits with him have been fantastic. He even knows about very very rare diseases like Neurocysticercosis which is pork Tapeworm infections in the brain. If you are looking for a Family Doctor who specializes in Infectious, and Tropical Diseases especially very rare infectious diseases from around the world, go see him. You will not be disappointed.

my wife and I have been seeing Dr. Akinsete since the day he arrived at Reflex Medical Centre and I am so grateful that Dr. Akinsete is our family doctor. After our little one was born, Dr. Akinsete took good care of her. In fact, he just went above and beyond to make sure my daughter is doing well. He always gives you full attention and spend the time necessarily instead of going by the clock. As English is not our first language, Dr. Akinsete always makes sure we understand fully and there are no misunderstanding. I would strongly recommend Dr. Akinsete to anyone who is looking for a family doctor. You can rest assure that you are in good hands.

Dr Akinsete is AMAZING! I spent years going to walk in clinics and thought it was going to be difficult finding a full time family doctor that I liked and trusted. After a lot of research and phone calls I was lucky enough to find Reflex Medical Clinic and I have been a patient of his for over one year now. The clinic itself is fantastic - bloodwork and pharmacy all in house easy as it gets. The staff makes you feel welcome and makes the process simple. Dr Akinsete himself is patient and always listens, he has incredible knowledge and it’s easy to see he cares about his patients. Even with an appointment the wait times can be a bit long but it is because he takes time with patients and gives his full attention. This can be looked at as a negative but I still gave this category 5 stars because he doesn’t rush others = he doesn’t rush you, he gets it right! Highly recommend him and the entire clinic - Anybody that mentions they are searching for a family doctor I mention his name!

I have been seeing Dr. Akinsete for about one year now. He has been so very nice and courteous. Even apologizes when he is running late. Thanks to him I have regained confidence in Ontario medicine. I thank Dr Akinsete wholeheartedly for is wonderful care to me and my family. He is indeed an honorable person and respects his profession and his patients. He never rushes me like other doctors.
