Spinal stenosis. Postponed surgery twice. Took 4 months. Had 8 hr surgery then he went on vacation. Had a 6 he surgery 2 days later to fix what he missed. In hospital 26 days. Never saw him after first surgery. Severe pain since. It’s been 5 more months. Still no answers. Does nothing for my pan. Treats me like a pill seeker. Lost my job because of it. I can't physically take care of my wife who has breast cancer. UNBEARABLE pain!! Doesnt care. Told me to get a second opinion knowing that no other dr will touch me for 2 years

Dr. Vinas is awesome, Cassie is fantastic, her staff and the office staff is out of this world. So friendly and they explain everything. Wouldn't go to anyone else. Dr. VINAS and Cassie performed two surgeries on me, neck and back! I am so grateful for them. Definitely recommend.

After meeting with him for the first time I thought that professionally he was on cruise control.. He may know the technique but I felt he never studied my mri's etc, or understood my specific problems. Didn't take the time to answer specific questions about what techniques he would be employing on me. Not sure if I feel comfortable with him.

My name is Ruby and Dr. Vinas did surgery on my back October 3,2018. Before I went to him I had pain in my back every day since the surgery I had in 2008, now since he did surgery on my back I have no pain at all and I don't have to worry about falling anymore. After the first surgery in 2008 (by another doctor), I had fell 8 times but what I didn't know is that the first time I fell in 2008 I broke a piece off of the L5 and it would work it's way around and pinch the nerve and I would fall. I told him that I never knew when I was going to fall. He showed me the x-ray and explained to me why I kept falling. So he fused the L5 and the S1 together and fixed that problem, I quit taking Hydrocodone, Tramadol, Tizanidine and pain shots. I thank God for Dr. Vinas because he made me feel better than I had in over ten years. It's great to be pain free. I will recommend him to everyone. He is the best!

My name is Marcus I was in a Life changing car accident a few years ago (less than 5 years) and I had to undergo a craniotomy operation due to blood clotting in my brain. It is now 2015 and at the age of 20 feel better than ever. Not sure how to contact me vinas but I can honestly say if it would not have been for you and your team I would not be alive right now. Thank you

I saw Dr. Vinas several times over a period of 10 years for degenerative disc disease. He took a cautious approach, and helped refer me to other specialists to treat my pain until things got bad enough that surgery was required. When I finally needed a double cervical fusion he did a great job and I recovered very well. In addition to being a widely researcher in his field and great surgeon, he has a warm, patient demeanor. His staff is also top notch.

Dr.Vinas was on call at the Halifax Hospital ER when I came in. With excruciating thigh pain from a disc pinching my right L3 nerve root.He gave me many options other than surgery.I had dealt with the problem to the point of desperation so I begged him to fix my L3/L4 disc. I had already had a Laminectomy and spinal fusion from L4 to S1. I have never been treated SO kindly or more competently than by Dr.Vinas. My surgery was a 100% success with total pain relief. I had no complications or post op problems. He is the BEST! Also I will add that the staff at HOME were awesome.

Looked at my MRI and said I had arthritis which I already knew. Dismissed most of what I said and asked me to walk 3 feet in 2 directions and said I didn't have a limp. " shorter than the other and I do have a discernible limp. I spent more time with his assistant being examined and questioned than with him. Not helpful at all. Told me to try PT for a few weeks to see if I felt better.
