I find it laughable that someone gave this doctor 3/5 starts for being 'out of date' for knowledge when he is merely being safe. Lots of patients come to doctors stating they got advice from other medical specialists. Really? Then why didn't that specialist perform their own recommendation? Why throw it back on Dr Lam, and then blame him for checking for safety? If a doctor is uncertain about something, you would want them to research more and act safely, not one who just accepts anyone's word about treatment and proceed.

Easy to make appointments, compassionate. Appointment system uses voicemail when receptionist is busy (medical clinics can be so busy at times!). Will often speak with you same day to understand the issue before scheduling appropriate appointment. Practices medicine confidently but with caution if uncertain.

Dr Lam is mediocre, he isn’t really up to date with his knowledge. For example, we had a consulting pediatrician recommend an earlier vaccine schedule for our toddler before travel and recommended we followup with our family doctor for the vaccine. When we went to Dr Lam he refused, despite a recommendation from a specialist. We had to rebook and reconsult the pediatrician who was appalled and had to contact Dr Lam personally. It was unnecessarily stressful a waste of time as a family needed to rebook several appointments due to his own lack of knowledge. This would’ve been easily avoided if Dr Lam was knowledgeable about Public Health guidelines and also trusting other medical colleagues. Clearly, he is not up to date, and he never apologized nor acknowledged his error. He also does not see patients in person first, rather makes a telephone consult for all appointments now before an in-person visit. What if there was an urgent medical concern that required a physical check-up? This is clearly a grab for more fee-for-service visits for more $$. He is polite and friendly in appearance, but certainly his medical experience is questionable.

Dr. Lam and his receptionist are truly wonderful individuals. Hands down, the best I have ever encountered. Respectful, warm and friendly dispositions prevail. Dr. Lam is highly efficient, has sound professional skills, orders appropriate tests with speed and always follows up as required. It is a blessing to be a patient of this humble, caring and dedicated medical professional.....something one rarely encounters today.

Dr. Lam is an amazing family doctor! He is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. He and his staff go above and beyond. Amanda forms a crucial part of establishing that welcoming environment. They work hard to ensure we feel comfortable, especially when we're not feeling the best! Very Happy to have him as our doctor.
