    My husband visited with Dr. Zapata and he was absolutely great! Great bedside manner and explained everything with great detail and took the time to explain the lab results and extending our experience over several visits, explained the necessary procedures, the outcome / results, and the steps needed to work towards improving his health. Great personality and a Great doctor! He was also the doctor who found my husbands cancer and saved my husband's life. Dr. Zapata knew what he was doing, was informed and confident, and compassionate, and both my husband and I felt very comfortable with the level of care, Dr. Zapata provided.

    Terrible bedside manner was very condescending and extremely impersonable. He was dismissive of any of my concerns and was very quick to cut me off during conversation.

    Biography

    Dr. Zapata attended medical school at Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud in Bogotá, Colombia. After working in rural medicine and emergency medicine in Colombia, Dr. Zapata became a research fellow at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He then completed a general surgery internship and urology residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
