Dr Pollock jumped straight into a high dose of ADHD med with young adult who had never taken anything previously.
Meds made the person feel incredibly ill (couldn't eat, couldn't keep food down, severe insomnia, irritability, etc.) and they lost weight which they couldn't afford to lose.
GP was appalled at the high initial dose, especially for someone with such a slight build.
Never received a callback after trying to advise that the initial dose wasn't working and was actually making the patient extremely unwell.
Have to travel over an hour for an appointment which isn't even in person anyway - video call that could have been set up anywhere.

Waited 3 months to get in, got a call saying he isn't coming in to day and I have to wait another 4 months to get seen. I really don't think I will ever get the help I need

Made 3 calls in an attempt to get an appointment. Each time was told I'd get a call back today or tomorrow. Nothing. Would have really helped if he just said he can't treat me.

An extraordinary human being with an unenviable occupation. Punctuality is irrelevant when there are tens of thousands of patients and only one of him. Dr Pollock is a very accomplished professional, out standing physician and a genuine person who cares for the welfare of mental health patients.
If your appointment is late, be patient whilst he helps others like yourself.

Dr Pollock has to be the best psychiatrist I have EVER had. I have been treated since I was years old with an array of trauma and difficulties. I was mis-diagnosed with BiPolar and a lot of other things, and Dr Pollock has FINALLY helped me feel "normal". Not to mention his ongoing support whilst I have been going through one of the worst times of my life. He ALWAYS makes time to talk with me, and his staff are unbelievably good. He has helped not only with medications, but with breathing exercises, diet and and so much more. I can not recommend him enough. I have seen some of these other reviews and just can't believe we are talking about the same person. A massive thank to you Dr Chris Pollock, and a massive thank you to your wonderful team in Taree - especially Zac and Amber who have really helped me through. Thanks so much... I wouldn't have got through this time without you all.

Absolutely f$*king useless. I got stood up by him 3 times and he still failed to contact me back so I called the rooms a month later. Had my appointment over an hour late, he then continued to say what are you here for, what do you want me to do and do you want meds. Fu@king stupid!!!!!!!! And continued to ask what I was doing here. I highly recommend NOT ever seeing this doctor.

Told him Ritalin gives me worse anxiety, he said take 4 tablets and come back. I tell him the same thing again, he tells me to take 6 tablets and come back. I tell him the same thing again, he tells me I can be put on antidepressants to treat my anxiety- it’s only until I remind him I already am on antidepressants does he stop and scrap the script he was about to give me.
It feels like he refuses to treat me for anything but my adhd despite having been given my report of bipolar. He was recommended that he give me mood stabilisers or something to help with my bipolar from my psychologist, he then proceeded to give me a new adhd medication which I should have started 2 days ago, but he hasn’t faxed it over yet -_-

Left in his waiting room for over 50 minutes in a wheel chair. When my carer asked reception how much longer as I had another specialist appointment to attend was told he was with a patient. 10 minutes later he appeared and apologised and said he was not aware he had some one waiting ( he was eating his lunch.) Left notes on my file and a diagnosis without any consultation as I had to leave.
