Dr Allard is the most kind, caring and genuine psychiatrist who was so willing to listen and help me. He wanted to get to know me, not others opinions of me. He doesn’t give bandaid solutions, he really wants to work with you to get better. He made me feel comfortable and not just like a number.

I have been treated by psychiatrist over 30 years with depression and anxiety. Dr Ben Allard is by far the best I've found. Professional , knowledgeable ,kind and truly caring. I honestly don't know where I would be now without his treatment. I recommend him to anyone with mental health problems. He truly cares , so many others I've seen over the years are just doing a job. I don’t think Psychiatrists can really do much other than to help people manage their illness. Not their fault I guess but the expectation for them to cure you is built by the hospital. Dr Allard was very kind and tried to help me with managing my illness on the few times I saw him. He really listened to me but it’s disappointing when the treatments prescribed don’t really help.

Dr Allard was very kind and made me feel involved and respected during my treatment. I have seen some psychiatrists who have spoken to me like I am a child who can’t look after themselves and Dr Allard was first doctor who treated me with human respect. Some doctors act like they know everything and the patient is stupid but Dr Allard is so helpful without treating patients like that. He is the first doctor who has given me hope I can get better.
