Dr. Chera is a kind soul. She recently took me on as a patient and I have had 3 appointments with her in the last 2 months. She was very thorough and took her time to address my concerns due to long Covid. She even went out of her way to ensure I was referred to a respirologist on an urgent basis. Long haul covid is extremely complicated and too often doctors minimize the impact or jut don't understand. She seems to understand long Covid well and it has been a gift from God to have a doctor who believed me and understood my needs. Can't not recommend her enough. My only regret is not finding her sooner!

I’ve been seeing Dr.Chera’s on and off for a couple of years now and reading the other reviews made me feel relieved about how I was feeling about this doctor. I found my very first visit with her totally fine, maybe a bit rushed so then I decided that she would become my primary doctor. It is then that I noticed, through my visits how incredibly passive aggressive and condensing she was coming off as. I never felt cared for in her presence, never felt like she was listening to my concerns. The last time I went to her was the last straw for me because she ended up completely dismissing some concerns of mine, along with telling me she couldn’t read some of the results from my bloodwork because ”it is confusing” which completely left me perplexed because when I told her to send me the results, I was able to read it just fine. She also made my sister cry because of her lack of empathy. I am not one to write reviews tbh I only went through the trouble because I’ve read about how the lack of empathy doctors/health professional show leads to some very dangerous situations. When a doctor isn’t fully present or listening to the concerns of their patients, they can miss serious health conditions that could be preventable if caught at the right time. I mean if you have to hesitate before you tell your doctor something or if you feel like you are quite literally annoying them then its safe to say that doctor is not doing their job properly. I personally think a lot of health professionals need to take a communications class or two. Health and wellness is about interpersonal relations as well. Anxiety and stress is linked to healthcare so why would you not calm your patients worries? Why do they treat people like machines? Anyways I simply write this in hopes that her or someone who is apart of her team sees this and maybe she rethinks the way she interacts with some of her patients. Going to the doctors shouldn’t feel unsafe and anxiety ridden. I am sure she is a knowledge doctor but your patients can 100% tell when you are doing the bare minimum.

Dr. Chera is my family doctor and I recommended her to other people as well. I appreciate her work, she always answers all of my questions. She is in a rush sometimes but I don't really see that as a problem here as I assume most doctors are quite busy. Overall I'd like to stay with her long-term as her help has really changed my life!

Forgets important details about me. Either her file is out of date or she doesn’t have time to read through it. Always in a rush and very condescending. She works only a few days a week, and waiting months for an appointment to be given half hearted attention feels like a waste of my tax money.

I was recently diagnosed with a very serious illness. I went to her for a follow up after my specialist said that I should a few weeks after my discharge at the hospital. I told her that I still have symptoms after finishing the medication and asked her what I should do next because my appointment with the specialist is still a few weeks away. She said just wait for your appointment "HONEY" I HATE IT WHEN SHE CALLS ME HONEY IT SOUNDS VERY PATRONIZING! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL NOT CALLING THEIR PATIENTS BY THEIR NAMES. DIDN'T THEY TEACH YOU THAT AT SCHOOL? Also she will say "OH POOR YOU!" LIKE I NEED HER PITY. She is all fake smiles and fake attitude. She doesn't care. Always interrupts and always in a rush! She will ask you is there anything else and when you say what you need she will answer you with one sentence that dismisses your concern. If I write every disappointments that I have with this doctor here the page will not be enough. Finally found another doctor to replace her. Thank God!

Dr. Chera will never admit she does not know something. I asked about some issues and she tried to steer the direction of discussion away from the issues. She only knows how to talk, least knowledgeable Dr I have ever had.
