I had a similar experience with this doctor. Dr. Smith seemed cold like she could have cared less that I’m in pain. I also found her to be very rude. Unacceptable behaviour when all I wanted was to try and get help!

receptionist was fantastic, dr used a year old xray, told me she would do further imaging to change what was suggested on xrays as believed to be psoriatic arthritis in my spine, didnt.. misdiagnosed as non autoimmune when it is, had further imagine done myself with my own family dr as i knew it was, now travelling 4 hours to another rheumatologist from her misdiagnosis and discharge from knowing me all of 15 minutes and no follow through on further imaging she stated she would do on initial consult. after waiting a year for that visit with a rheumatologist. Disgusting treatment of a patient who was in pain and needed help after waiting so long.

Dr. Smith was very rude to me. She didn’t seem to care at all that I have great deal of pain. I will be asking my doctor for a referral to another rheumatologist.

I had a lot of specialist over the years some did good things while some were horrible. I find Dr. Alexa Smith to be very nice once I got to know her. First encounter was confusing but she put me and my condition first and in my mind she is an amazing specialist that I enjoy going to see. It's refreshing when they allow you to talk and not ignore you. She allowed me to talk like a person not just another dollar. Hope more can be like Dr. Alexa Smith

This had to be the absolute worst consult I've ever had. This person seemed very annoyed that she had to see me. She talked over me and gave short, dismissive answers to my questions. I've seldom met anyone, let alone a "medial healthcare professional" who acted this arrogant and downright rude. I was in tears after leaving "Dr." Smith's office. I would advise others to seek out a doctor who is actually willing to listen and treat you with as a person.

I'm actually taking time over the holidays to write about how awful an experience I had with this person. That's how much it affected me. I have been in alot of pain and really
needed help. What I didn't need was a doctor who is condescending, rude and goes out of her way not to make sure you feel looked after or cared about but quite the opposite! I would not recommend seeing Alexa Smith to anyone! My advice after a very upsetting consultation: Run!!!

Dr. Smith belittled me when I was at my most vulnerable. It seemed like she found it a waste of her time to have to see me. I don't know if she was having a bad day but she really shouldn't take it out on a patient! Doctors have to realize that patients are only there to try and better their health - not to bother the doctor. They also should remember that if they didn't have patients then they wouldn't have a job! I would not recommend her and hope I never need to see Dr. Alexa Smith again.

My husband was diagnosed with Diffuse Scleroderma. Dr. Smith was very thorough with the examination of my husband. She was very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor.
