Love my new doctor. Great listening skills and takes the time to explain everything.

Terrible physician - has a loud, irritating voice and poor listening skills plus a condescending attitude. I took a list of days and times that I had experienced symptoms I needed to have diagnosed and treated (I already knew it was probably GERD since I am an RN) and she just glanced at my paper I handed to her and remarked, "How'd you DO this? Do you have an app on your phone or something?" I was dumbfounded. It was a simple Word document I had typed on my laptop and printed. did she think I was illiterate or something? I asked her to place the record in my medical file, but she declined. I know she should have honored my request. She never gave me a diagnosis. I can only presume by the medication she prescribed that I do in fact have GERD. I do not recommend this physician at all.

I never trusted doctors after my leg and ankle was messed up after 3 surgerirs. So I stopped trusting til I went to see Dr.Patel I regain trust in her and I refuse to see anyone but her.

I just had my first baby and was obviously nervous. I wanted the same doctor at every visit who would deliver my baby. I was recommended to Dr Patel who I found was absolutely amazing. She was professional and yet easy to talk to. Was there at every vist and talked me through every stage of preganancy. I went into labor at 3am and she was there as well...thats the best feeling you can have when you see a friendly and yet professional face at the most important time in your life. She delivered my beautiful baby girl whose the greatest gift ever. Ive asked Dr Patel to continue taking care of her because I feel so comfortable and confident with her...

I just moved to Columbia and established care with Dr. Patel who I find extremely knowledgable, considerate and prompt to responding to my concerns. I have several underlying medical issues that I feel she addresses extensively at every visit. My wife and I are very comfortable and fortunate to have her as our PCP and were glad she was recommended to us

Had heard good things but was very VERY disappointed right at my first visit. She clearly did NOT even bother to read my chart before entering the room, I thought she had the wrong patient completely. She thought I was 11 weeks (I am actually 16!) into my 2nd pregnancy (this is my 1st pregnancy). I have a condition called Hyperemesis of pregnancy, which is a severe form of morning sickness 1% of pregnant women get (lucky me). The hyperemesis has caused me to loose almost 20 pounds and even now at 17 weeks I am still losing weight. Her response: "you need to eat more of a balanced diet". Despite my consistant weight loss she then stated that we should begin weening me from my nausea meds because I am now in my 2nd trimester so it should be getting better. She then listen to my heart and lungs, poked my stomatch in 4 spots and sent me on my way. My first visit with the lady who is to deliver my 1st baby and the appointment lasted MAYBE 10 minutes... I switch doctors that day!!!
