Unfortunately I had an appointment with Dr. Burhan and he basically told me i have no specific diagnosis on the initial appointment, the second appointment was cancelled due to his leaving the practise so i had to pay another initial consult to see a child psychiatrist...not acceptable.

Don’t believe these FAKE 5 star reviews, probably Dr Burhan writing them himself 😂
Unprofessional, slob. Glad to hear he is no longer practising. In his own words…
Due to the immense stress caused by regulatory bodies investigating trivial and false accusations, I made the voluntary decision to quit practicing psychiatry in Australia. The constant fear of being accused by any patient I see or saw in the past made it challenging to focus on providing care with passion while also protecting myself. The last straw came when I received a complaint from a guest at a party I hosted, who asked me to see them professionally, which I declined due to my personal and professional boundaries. This person retaliated by making a ridiculous accusation, and I had to go through the process of defending myself despite there being no established doctor-patient relationsh

Where there’s smoke there is fire. Good riddance, quack.

Dr Burhan was amazing when I was being assessed for ADHD. Firstly, the reason I went to him was the fact that instead of having to spend $900 on a consultation with another practice, I only paid a small admin fee to have all the assessing forms and questionnaires sent to me and then looked at, knowing if I didn't have ADHD then that was all I needed to pay. He was very thorough and required school reports and my mum wrote a letter about me as a child. I got the call that he request an appointment with me. He told me out of 20 adult adhd assessments I was the only one who is getting the diagnosis. This also made me realise that he actually cares enough to not make a mockery of the disorder. All 4 of my children were already diagnosed with ADHD. As he explained the Covid pandemic made adult adhd assessments sky rocket. There was a review below that stated Dr Burhan told a patient they were too smart to have ADHD which I find to be absolute BS. I'm a very intelligent person with a fairly high IQ and that was without being able to focus. Trust me if a psychiatrist like Dr Burhan says you don't have ADHD then that should be one of your happiest moments, because then you know there is something else that is giving you your symptoms and you can better help yourself. Adhd is excessive and prolonged symptoms that have been present and affected your whole life not just because you couldn't cope during lock down.

All the negative reviews are BULLSH1!T. Ive been seeing Abdul for years, he is brilliant, and unlike other doctors, he is superior. The negative complaining reviews are rubbish -- they are given by bogans and doctor shoppers. Please ignore these horsesh!lt reviews about Dr Burhan. It is not true what they say. They are liars, and want to cancel him via smear campaigns. These people have no credibility, i guarantee you the way they presented themselves to Dr. Abdul was very rude and derro and bogan antics and demanding benzos and adhd meds... This is a very well known problem in the industry, moronic deadsh!lt patients like this, who unfairly give bad reveiws out of spite for no justified reason. To all the neg reviewers: youre all a bunch of sad kun7s and drug seekers. Learn how to be respectful and civil to people, and you might actually get somewhere in life. Have some self respect. Dr. Abdul is a legend, he sh!lts on all the other dodgy psych's in the area, he is superior to them in many ways. And sorry, no, he isnt gonna give you a controlled med first appointment cos you have self-diagnosed ADHD and a history of substance abuse. That shows he is a good doctor. If you want a dodgy psychiatrist, go to South Coast Private, theres a few notorious blokes there who will scribe you whatever you want, then will you be happy? Lol, you are all pathetic. I think im going to come to all your workplaces now and put in complaints until youre forced to leave, see how you cockh3ads like it... None of you know Dr. Abduls past achievements and amazing things he's done... Fark off to you all... Too many bogans in this area, dont even appreciate the fact Dr.Abdul bulk bills and supports fair access to mental health care in this sh!ltty poor area, when he could charge $350 a sesh like certain other psychs in the area... Put the pipe down and wake up to yourselves...

Dr Burhan has been amazing for me and stabilising my mental health because he actually listened. Dr Burhans incredible knowledge about my illnesses, and his broad medication knowledge had saved my life.
I am beyond devastated to hear you have left Psychiatry, you will be deeply missed.
Good luck in the future and I hope you find peace away from toxic people who don't appreciate your professionalism.

Dr Burhan is very knowledgeable and direct to the point and figured out what is my problem in the first appointment. The appointment with Dr Burhan has changed my life. He helped me better after the first appointment while the other psychologists could not figure out what was wrong with me for years.

It is sad to know he is not working anymore. I wish him all the best for his future. Thank you very much, Dr Burhan.

Dr. Burhan was the most professional and knowledgeable psychiatrist I have had to this day. He helped me in a time that all seemed impossible, and his help ultimately lead me to succeed in my university degree. Without his professional assistance, I can confidently say I would not be where I am today.
I am so very sad to see him go, he will be missed and I wish him every bit of healing and success for his future.

Dr Burhan was a game changer. Too many health professionals have taken money over the years and asked me to bear my soul for years so they leave with a better understanding of the worst parts of my life and I leave with nothing and often developed a dependance on other health professionals. Dr Burhan is not for the faint-hearted, he is a doctor. He is not your friend, your pastoral care person, nurse or a counsellor. Dr Burhan helped ween me off of medication that was sedating me that other health professionals put me on because they didnt know what else to do with me. Dr Burhan controls the consultation space so that it is productive and achieves outcomes. I also went to him with an ADHD as adult in test results from a doctor. Dr Burhan was able to increase my quality of life by going around the rock of diagnosis which is long and hard and within 6 weeks I was on the right medication and had the right strategies to look after myself. I had asked about going on the NDIS and he gave suprising but valid and helpful advice to consider and I chose not to apply. I can imagine perhaps people are trying to obtain diagnosis for the purpose of getting on the NDIS rather than to mitigate symptoms and live life to the fullest. This is a doctor who has worked in multiple countries, is fiercly independant and believes and puts the expectation that you as a patient can lead a 100 percent whole and healthy life. Some patients are just not ready to hear that or do the work to try and meet his methods half way before giving up or complaining. I raised queries with Dr Burhan throughout the past 2 years and he was always gracious to explain, re explain, change methods or type of therapy and mitigate any differences of experience or understanding I had in his sessions. I'm lucky to have had Dr Burhan throughout the last few years and I am so proud to have a doctor who practices what he preaches and removes himself from toxic work environments and picks his battles based on sticking up for those that cannot stick up for themselves, rather than picking battles based on his own ego or self-image. I have recovered from my multiple conditions beyond where I ever thought possible because this doctor pushed my limits within reason, drew out my accountabilities and tough conversations to have with myself, simplified the medical system and most importantly never ever ever took over the drivers seat during my theraputic journey under his care since 2021. I don't think the worlds' best doctors and psychiatrists study for decades to have patients retell their life and provide empathy. They do decades of study and work to help intersect where vulnerable people can impact change in their own life through empathetic practice. And if you can't realise that and provide baseless complaints because you don't like what a treating professional said to you - reconsider what you are looking for in your appointments, discuss your goals with your treating professional and listen to their perspective, ascertain if this is the right theraputic working relationship for you. Thank you Dr Burhan. Any of my lifes accomplishements beyond this point I will significantly attribute to your methods. Take care and live well 😀
