Biography

Courtney Umphress, PA-C, works in Immediate Care where she sees many of the same illnesses and injuries numerous times a day. She treats each patient as if they were the first of the day with the same care as she will provide to the last patient. Wanting each of her patients to feel seen and fully cared for she practices mindfulness before knocking on a new patient's door; which allows her to remain present with each visit. Ms. Umphress has worked in urgent care and occupational medicine throughout her career as a PA. Working in these specialties has given her a lot of experience with procedures like laceration repairs, in which she finds the satisfaction of being able to mend or fix something that was once broken. Ms. Umphress is trained in wilderness first aid, advanced cardiac life support and basic life support.
