Dr Hoeltzell greatly helped my mother's condition years ago. We found him to be a wonderful doctor.

You are a scumbag if you rate a Doctor because of crappy staff. Dr. Hoeltzell, if you were lucky enough to have him operate on you, would be the one that would save your worthless life when others couldn't. If you rated him anything less than 5 stars because of his crappy staff that stole over $1.5 million dollars from him, then you derseve to be seen by a 1 star doctor and I hope you suffer the rest of your life. Too bad none of you really know how great of a surgeon you rated less than 5 stars.
I don't hope there is a heaven but I hope there is a hell because thats where you ae going......

It all depends if you get Dr Hoeltzell on a good day or a bad day. Same goes for surgery. He's had several back surgeries himself, and some days opts for a shorter procedure than promised to the patient because his back can't take it. Most times he presents a great bedside manner, but once I left something in the exam room and went back to get it. No-one was at the desk, so I went to the exam room and got my notebook. Then I heard his thunder voice ripping my name apart. I left quietly, never to return. His 'attendants' and administrators (sometimes one, sometimes 2 or 3) certainly raise an alert - as do the codes they use to get insurance payoffs. Once I thought he was a dream come true (1st surgery), but I regret 2nd surgery. Recent MRI had new Neuro question I even had 2nd surgery, but I showed him the paid bill. But you can't sue Dr H - good luck!

Once upon a time, Dr Hoeltzell was on top of the list; however, it appears his staff runs the show more than he. As a person, he's very nice. As a doctor, he needs to retire as his circumstances no longer result in the best care. His office manager is like a wicked, territorial carnivore who undoubtedly DOES NOT give Dr Hoeltzell his patient's messages. She's just not a happy person and patients pay the price.

dr.hoeltzell has the best bed side manner i have received from a dr in quite some time, his one office person, although buried in work was pleasant as well. i am scheduling my surgery with him

Although you have to wait the doctors spends as much time as necessary to make sure you understand what needs to be done. He is not a 10 min per patient doctor that is why the wait time. I have just recommend by friend.

Dr HoOeltzell is a nice man But honestly his staff person just puts such a barrier between you and him that its an imposible experience I have had 2 surgeries from him and I am not able to walk... they don't seem to really care

Dr. Hoeltzell was courteous, knowledgeable and made me feel quite comfortable during my visit. His office staffer, however, was miserable. Unfriendly, not helpful, had generally rude. It amazes me how many doctors employ the rudest people for a position that should demand some compassion and patience. I realize it must be difficult dealing with cranky old people, but that's your job. Change professions if you don't like it.
