Discovered by accident when I moved to the area in 2000, I have since moved to another city - a 35 min drive to his office. I went to a local optometrist for my next 2 sets of glasses (I like to shop local, she has a good rep & sponsors soccer which I coach). Two poor subscriptions and one independent analysis of my glasses later, I decided it was worth the drive for the quality for the sake of my family's eyes. He has always been extremely personable without prying, sensitive, and did not care one bit that I had gone to a different doctor - in fact he was sympathetic to shopping locally and supporting community! Yes they all push for sales because that's how business works, and good help is hard to find but in the end I'm looking for what's best for my eyes and that of my family. I have never had a problem.. He also immediately referred me to a surgeon when it was discovered my retina was starting to detach and made the call personally to get me in that same day - it saved my vision.

have dr conran for many years and feels he has got worse as the years go by. i find him very arrogant, he feels he is always right until hes proved wrong and then he is none to happy. he over books like crazy. you spend 3 times as long as nessesary at an appt. he gives you a couple of minutes and then goes to another patient leaving you half done, then switches back again. he might know his stuff but it is not an appt i look forward to.i would easily change.

I have never been treated so well at a Dr. office as I have been at Dr. Conrons. His staff has a wealth of knowledge and they explain everything to me regarding my lenses, frames, etc. Never have I had such professionalism, skill and knowledge when buying eyeglasses. My eye exam was so completely through and I felt extremely confident and satisfied with the results of the experience. As a first time paitient I look foward to my next visit next year with anticipation. Totally an incredible experience.!!! Thank you

I don't disagree that he knows his stuff, however, in my experience he has no bedside manners, very matter of fact, get in and get out. I agree that he does tend to push his products on the patients. I have witnessed and experienced it myself. I have thought about changing doctors a number of times but I can get past the manners aspect, as I am confident that he knows his stuff.

I have to disagree to the unpleasant comments about Dr. Conron. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in his examinations and very quick to refer you to a opthamologist should it be needed. As it turned out I had a detached retina, and his quick response had me seen within a few hours, and his staff even went that extra mile to drive me to the hospital, where else would you get that services. Waiting time, may at times run behind, but just think of the reason why he is behind, maybe an emergency had to be seen, or another patient was late. As for prices, I found them to be cheaper than those big box chains. This is my take for whatever it is worth. My family and I will continue to see Dr. Conron as he is the Best, with 30 yrs experience.

If you want a BAD service, please go here! This doctor gave me bad prescription (lens for one eye was not strong enough) and told that I need a redundant examination of retina, at you guess, his new machine. After I went to him to change the prescription he was very rude and didn't do anything! This is totally shocking that this doctor is still in the business.

Needs to learn how to schedule properly! I had a 2nd appt. and showed up for my appt. and got sent home b/c apparently I didn't have one, got an "i'm sorry" call 20 mins later that I did have the appt. and was asked to reschedule at my earliest conveinence! Other than that, pretty pleased as all the eye tests were done, and got a perscription even though i had to wait after a second appt.

He's been telling my grandfather that his eyes are fine and his glasses are all he needs. We finally convinced my grandfather to see a proper surgeon, and he said that my grandfather should have had his cataracts removed years ago. Dr. Conron doesn't seem to worry about much other than his personal income.
