I have been a patient of Dr. Yaakov Abdelhak during my 3 pregnancies for over 7 years, he is a wonderful doctor, very experienced, knowledgeable and truly caring. He never rushes and always listens to every concern, and answers all questions accordingly. I always get the feeling of being in trusted hands. We live nearby St. Barnabas hospital but still travel about 40 minutes to his office in Hackensack, NJ.

All the other doctors at his office are great as well and have wonderful bedside manner. There are many good reasons Dr. Abdelhak and his office are a blessing, the most outstanding of them is the ability to have blood work, ultrasound, fetal anatomy and much more, all done at one location.

His staff is efficient and quite organized, they all work well in harmony to facilitate a smooth experience.

I was referred to Dr. Abdelhak when I found out I was pregnant with twins. When I walked into my first appointment I was greeted by the nicest staff! Everyone was so friendly and I felt that they genuinely felt happy for me and excited that I was pregnant with twins! The second I met Dr. Abdelhak I knew he was the doctor for me. He was so mellow and down to earth and really made me feel at ease. He has the best sense of humor, too. He is super confident in his work and he should be. I delivered two beautiful baby girls vaginally. He had me laughing throughout my entire labor. Dr. Abdelhak was very calm, patient, and encouraging throughout the entire process!! He's the BEST!!!!
I can't complete this review without speaking of Raizy. Raizy works in the office and came to the hospital with me and was my labor coach. Raizy sat with my husband and I joking around and basically just hanging out. She really helped take our minds off of the scariness of the labor. Once it was time to start pushing, she jumped right in! She held my hand and walked me through the whole thing! It really made me feel comfortable and confident! Dr. Abdelhak & Raizy make the best team!! I was so lucky to have them by my side. I'll be forever grateful!!

Dr. Abdelhak is an amazing, brilliant doctor who does not hesitate to go the extra mile. Thanks to him, we now have a healthy, beautiful baby boy. After a second trimester loss, I went to Dr. Abdelhak when I found out that I was pregnant again based on a recommendation. Of all of the doctors that I spoke with, he was the only one with enough knowledge and expertise to diagnose the situation correctly. All of the other doctors that I spoke with missed the fact that I have an incompetent cervix. Multiple surgeries later (vaginal and transabdominal cerclages put in place) and unfortunately subsequent losses, I delivered a healthy baby boy a few weeks ago. Dr. Abdelhak was there with me every step of the way and took every precaution with this pregnancy to make sure that I would carry to term or close to it. He was always supportive and did his best to answer any question that I had regarding the pregnancy. He is by far the best OB/Gyn that I’ve encountered and I highly recommend his practice to any pregnant woman who is high risk.

Being the daughter of a simple, honest Indian doctor with a brilliant diagnostic track record, I can immediately spot the difference between the superficial, commercial, glamorous doctors & the genuine, eccentric ones who are personally invested in their patients' well-being. I had the misfortune of coming across the "glamorous" lot most of my pregnancy because my previous provider kept railroading me into myriads of tests and finally a delivery at 37 weeks of gestation without any sound explanations. I declined because my baby's BPP scores, umbilical blood flow & FHR were normal & rock steady throughout. I wished to carry him to full term & have a natural delivery. So there we were, looking for a new provider so late in my pregnancy and we consider ourselves mighty lucky for having come across Dr. Abdelhak (& Dr. Ratzersdorfer) through Mindful midwifery. He took on our case at 38 weeks of gestation and respected my wishes. Right from my first appointment, I felt I finally met an honest, trustworthy provider. I'm sure every woman wishes to be surrounded by a team she can absolutely trust to make the right calls during her delivery and so did I and, I finally found that in Dr. Abdelhak, Dr. Ratzersdorfer & staff. I was given sound & proper explanations right from the beginning and had a vaginal delivery at 39 weeks 4 days, just like I wished. Dr. Abdelhak is thoroughly professional, kind & humorous as & when the situation demands, totally in sync with his patient's sentiments. If you are looking for knowledge, brilliant sixth sense, years of experience, great skills, professionalism & genuineness in your Doctor with a lovely, warm staff to boot, then I very strongly recommend Dr. Abdelhak & Dr. Ratzersdorfer.

My journey with Dr. Abdelhak began because of my gut instinct that I needed to seek out the best if I wanted to save my baby. Sure enough my first visit with him was about him saving my sanity and my baby. He performed an emergency cerclage after the dr. I was seeing botched up the job. All I want to make clear in this review is that Dr. Abdelhak and his sidekick Dr. Ratzendorfer are the absolute best in the world for anyone in need of their practice. Dr. Abdelhak is the most professional dr. I have ever met, yet the most down to earth human being I have ever interacted with. He becomes apart of your family throughout this stressful process. I felt like I had a true brother at my side the entire time. He truly deserves all the blessings in the world. Dr. Abdelhak is someone who is precise at his job and is the only man for thus job on the East Coast. His staff is great as well. Reizy and the crew, including the ultrasound tech ( Elkie) and Reesy (office manager), complement his practice phenomenally. I can not say enough about Dr. Abdelhak and Dr. Ratzendorfer. My husband and I love them both and appreciate all that they have done for us!!! We highly recommend this practice. They are worth every penny because they really care and most importantly, they really do know what they're doing. Both doctors are detail-oriented, yet never break a sweat while doing their job.

I was referred to Dr. Abdelhak by an obgyn that refused to do a Vbac. The minute I started speaking to him, I felt at ease and reassured that I would have a successful Vbac. He was so patient through my 48 hour labor and never made me feel like I was burdening him, or mentioning to have a C section. His office runs like a well oiled machine. You hardly ever wait and his staff is wonderful. I also had Raizy as my labor coach and she is just amazing at what she does. I highly recommend Dr. Abdelhak because doctors like him don't come around very often.

Dr. Abdelhak has big shoulders. He will do what others doctors may have given up on. He makes you feel calm and confident through the traumas of a high risk pregnancy. His knowledge, expertise, judgment, confidence and humor make him an outstanding doctor. He is not full of himself either. It is not easy to find an expert with a pleasant personality.

Dr. Abdelhak is the reason my daughter is here alive and healthy today. After a scary discovery that my cervix was short and funneling during my 19-wk anatomy scan, he was the only doctor to make himself available at the hospital to attempt a rescue cerclage. The cerclage was risky but he did an excellent job; I would've lost my baby within a week if it had not been performed. I switched from my previous OBGYN to Dr. Abdelhak. I was able to carry my daughter for the next couple of months. He was a great support during my 3 months on bedrest. He performed a great c-section and brought my daughter safely into the world. His staff is excellent. Even though he was out-of-network with my insurance, he was able to accommodate me. I would refer Dr. Abdelhak to any woman looking to have a successful pregnancy.

HE IS LIKE GOD NOT LIKE HE IS.I WAS TOLD BY MANY DOCTORS ALL AROUND TRI-STATE THAT I SHOULD TERMINATE MY FIRST BABY DUE TO MANY COMPLICATIONS. SOMEONE REFERED DR. YAAKOV TO ME.IN MY FIRST APPOINTMENT HE MADE ME REALIZE THAT I AM IN SAFE HANDS, HE SPOKE ONLY ONE SENTENCE, POOJA I WANT YOU TO SLEEP, HE READ PAIN IN MY EYES. HE ASSURED ME THAT HE IS GOING TO DELIVER MY BABY AND I CAN RELAX AND ENJOY. DURING ALL MY VISITS MY CONFIDENCE IN HIM JUST INCREASED.MY BABY IS 5 MONTHS NOW AND HE IS HEALTY AND HANSOME..THANK YOU DR ABDELAK
