Honestly, if you want to feel like a number in a doctor's roster this is where you want to go. I wont say he is rude or anything like that... but not even close to being helpful.

I've been with him for nearly 2 years (bc its so difficult to get a new Endo these days), he has:
- missed appointments
- usually calls me way past our scheduled appnt which then delays my day
- has returned my request (that needs to be made via email only) for help/communication regarding a problem 2 months later - 2 MONTHS!!
- the office never answers phone calls
- I ask questions regarding symptoms, his usual reply is "you should talk to your GP if you're having these symptoms".... what?!

I feel bad leaving a review like this, but its the honest truth - for someone who is a new thyroidectomy patient, I was hoping for alittle more guidance/help/direction with this massive life change, but i unfortunately did not get that. It is incredibly frustrating to feel like you have no control over your health. in these circumstances. A doctor/specialist should be someone we can turn to when we have questions about what is going on with us.
Really hope for the future that there is more compassion and understanding for the person needing to deal with these situations in their life.
I also just want to point out that i have never in my life left a review of any doctor anywhere.
This one was required.

Be well, i wish whoever reads this great health =)

The worst experience in the healthcare system in Canada.. he didn't ask me for any tests, just the blood test, he didn't change my medicine when I told him I was feeling sick, he was extremely rude.. I don't recommend this doctor to anyone .

The most unpleasant experience I have had with a Doctor. Very rude and not knowledgeable at all. Never followed up on my results and gave me the worse medicine I could take. He did not give me any alternates do treat my issue. I do not recommend this Doctor.

I had my first appointment with the doctor over the phone. I was a bit apprehensive at first as I prefer in person visits but I was very satisfied. The doctor was very thorough and answers all my questions and I am
Looking forward to my next meeting.

Very disappointed after our telephone appointment.
I have autoimmune thyroiditis with a nodule and after waiting for two months for this appointment, one week before it I was announced that would be an telephone appointment. After telling the doctor all my symptoms and signs regarding my thyroid disorder, he just said I don’t have anything related to thyroid and to go back to my doctor to ask something to put at ease my mind, because everyone is going now through difficult times.
What a joke and lack of professionalism. My goiter is so visible when I look in to mirror that I don’t even need an ultrasound to say something is wrong with my thyroid.
I asked him to do a new ultrasound if he doesn’t have the one from 2 months ago because meanwhile the size of my thyroid changed. He dismissed that saying that will request the old one from my doctor.
He sent a referral for a blood test for TSH and free T4, when anyone with minimum knowledge of autoimmune thyroiditis knows at the beginning have euthyroidism until the hypothyroidism is installed. In blood work you can see only the autoantibodies TPO and Tg which are very elevated in my case about hundreds!
My main concern was to see if the autoantibodies started to attack the thyroid and if the nodule grew as I have a thought feeling in my neck, pressure, pain and sometime difficulty to swallow!
I told him he needs me to see me face to face and he made an appointment after another two months and he said that I’ll have a new ultrasound in six months! He kept saying again and again I have nothing to my thyroid even he never saw me in his life only talking through to telephone.
What a waste of public money to pay this doctor!!

His staff and family must be writing these reviews. He has NO bedside manner. He's rude and arrogant. He's a dinosaur in terms of his ways, and he will threaten to take away your driver's license. Not helpful at all

Dr. Khandwala is certainly professional and is up to date on his medical knowledge for treatment of Diabetes. Upon referral to him I walked away with all new prescriptions and my blood glucose improved greatly. That being said, appointments take a needlessly long time. The fact that the office tells you to expect to be there for 2 hours is kind of ridiculous. You'll spend 90+ minutes of that time waiting in a chair. Also I have had experiences where he does not really listen to what I have to say and questions that I have.
