My previous doctor left clinical medicine. I came to Dr. Kaminski on a recommendation. My previous doctor had 2 viles of blood drawn for all tests, especially thyroid. Dr. K had 7 viles of blood drawn and so my insurance did not pay for 5 of them. The printout from my visit listed my bmi in two places, both vastly different numbers. She neglected to give me a perscription I have been on for years and then shortened it to 6 months, rather than an annual perscription like the rest. I had very high hopes of finding a doctor to work with me, but I am sadly disappointed and and in search for a new doctor again.

She diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes and if anything, has been aggressive/proactive in treatment. I will admit the office is far from efficiently run. My whole family goes her. I don't question her abilities one bit. I would recommend her to anyone if you can get her to take you on.

Apparently none of you know Dr. Kaminski. I had the privilege of working for her in North Carolina. I was her office nurse. Sometimes she ran a little late BECAUSE she was helping other patients with their health care needs. She gave of herself and actually listened to each and every problem that every client had. She was proactive with their health care needs. We worked long hours and did not close the door until the last patient was seen. MY complaint...is that she is not located in Salisbury. Trust me if this town could get her back we would. Not only was she my employer, she was my personal MD and the Dr. to my family. So trusted yes she was not only for myself but for my community. She is never on time and comes across as arrogant and rushed. she talks AT you rather than WITH you. needs some interpersonal communication training. condescending about lifestyle changes yet she's not fit. i did not have a good experience with her and just gave up.

She is very Proactive with her treatments is willing to work with me. She is open to my suggestions for treatment of my cronic diseases. The only downside to having her as my doctor is that I have to see other physicians in the group when she is out of town, sick, etc. I have not had good experiences with other phyicians in the group. But, I continue to see her and I even drive from out of town to do so.

I have diabetes and have had extreme fatigue lately. I had questions about my thyroid so I went to her for a 2nd opinion. It was a total waste of time and money! She said that she knows this sounds "selfish" BUT she is only going to take patients that have and A1c under 7 and since mine was high and since I have had diabetes for over 10 years and was not on kidney medicine that I should "go back to my previous doctor because obviously we have an agreement worked out" I have no idea what that meant! She was very arrogant and left without saying anything. I would not recomend her to ANYONE! I brought lab results of my thyroid and she did not even look at them. I felt like I wasted my time and money. Beware!
