I had a consulting and follow-up treatment appointment with Dr. Ronald Macintyre, first time (06/09/2021) I went to see him. I read past patients remarks and I had my apprehensions.
But when I met him in person at the end of my detailed consulting appointment I realized that he is certainly not the doctor as depicted by some bickering patients. I came across him as a well knowledgeable and well mannered professional with in-depth expertise. He is very patient in listening to and understanding my health situation for his evaluation. I found him as a no-nonsense straight talk provider. There was no difficulty in seeking an appointment with him and he was in no hurry during the evaluation as depicted by some earlier patients.
I believe that conveying my health-care situation accurately is the key to achieving care goals and appropriate treatment. I have full confidence in his skill set and abilities and I am sure I will get the best of care options from him. I have no hesitation in recommending him

I made an appointment with Dr. MacIntyre 4 months ago. I was scheduled to have a vasectomy Friday. My surgery was scheduled for 4/19/19, and my wife gets a call from his office on 4/16/19 saying he wants to cancel/reschedule the surgery to 4/18/19 instead. THREE days before the surgery he wants to change this after I waited 4 months. And he didn't even call me. He called my wife. The reason that "Dr." MacIntyre gives is that he has surgery on Friday. Yeah, my surgery! What is this surgery in three days? Emergency? I doubt it. Sounds like a vacation or golf tee time to me. If it was such an emergency, why move my surgery up one day? Why not take the emergency patient on Thursday rather than Friday? I'm not buying it.

Now we have lost money in appointments. They made me go in for a primary care appointment. And then they made me go in again to his office for a BS appointment, both times charging me $$$ of course. We have also lost money in time off work and daycare which we arranged months ago. But the worst part is now I will be in danger for months of my wife getting pregnant if we decide to have marital relations. That is a bad idea because my wife had serious complications with both of our kids' births and both kids ended up in the NICU for weeks, and my wife had a long hospital stay also. We just can't risk it.

This whole thing sucks. The Doctor's staff says that the next available date they have after Friday for my surgery is December (8 months away!). I'm so pissed. I want to be compensated for this. I'm going to talk to my attorney.

Avoid this guy. Read the other reviews also. Terrible way to treat people and run a practice.

If I could give this doctor a 0, I would. My husband has Stage 4 metastatic renal cell carcinoma that has metastasized to the lymph nodes. The doctor had a very cavalier and arrogant attitude. There was no compassion nor concern for what we were going through. He basically was telling us to make plans to die. We left feeling depressed with no hope. I was in tears and my husband not believing what we had just heard. If you want compassion, hope, and a caring doctor, DO NOT go to this man.

Dr MacIntyre performed my prostatectomy in July of 2012. I did a lot of research prior to the surgery and came to the conclusion that Dr. M was one of the two best surgeons in the area for this procedure based on experience and the recommendations from other physicians. He spent about an hour with me prior to surgery explaining what to expect in very candid, clear terms. The surgery went exceptionally well. He has provided clear instructions for the recovery phase, listened to me and was amazingly accommodating of my needs. He also has a great sense of humor. I love his office staff too.
