I have seen Dr. Lipkin for over 15 years. I relied on him and trusted him. I referred countless clients to him.
Over the last three years, his commitment to his profession and overall patient care has significantly declined. Dr. Lipkin has a strict policy prohibiting connecting him if in crisis ( unusual for a psychiatrist). I overstepped and texted him between appointments having no one else to turn to. Dr. Lipkin terminated treatment with me that day over a text message. (Texts are not HIPAA compliant in his case). I apologized and requested to meet to discuss and terminate properly, but he refused. Psychotropic medication is tricky and, in large amounts, can be fatal. A doctor is fully aware of a patient’s vulnerabilities and mental health; I feel abandoned, lost, disappointed, and shocked. I trusted Dr. Lipkin, and he played on my weakness. I currently take four psych medications prescribed by a doctor who fired me.

Dr Lipkin and I have been patient-doctor for over three decades. He has been my therapist for most of my adult life. He has been there during my marriage, during my career (at times choppy in 25 years) as a computer scientist, and now as do an early retirement and make a living doing taxes during tax season. I could not recommend him more highly.
