Arrogant is the word I'd use to describe him. I made the mistake of not doing my research before going in for treatment. I should have gone on this site and read the reviews before I sign the paper. He is probably one of the most dismissive and condescending doctor I've ever encountered. He thinks he's the best orthodontist in the world and that I shouldn't listen to anyone else because "they don't know what they are talking about"... and by that, he meant other orthodontists. I'm actually considering going somewhere else to complete my treatment even if it means it's going to cost me more.

The Sidekick named Sue waited for this dude 20 minutes instead of doing a 5-minute button replacement. Just for you guys reference, this dude has his own incisors flipping in. Use your common sense and think of if he likes his job and his patients.

The staff at Village Ortho appears nice but can't way all of them are all that competent. Especially not the receptionist who is annoyingly dismissive. She actually expected me to sign a contract while I still had questions. Completely dismissive and said "oh it should be fine". NO, it is NOT fine, I will NOT sign contract for a $2000 deposit before my concerns are addressed. Then the 2nd appointment I asked about receipts. She just handed me a card and ask me to call a number. When I called the number I was informed by accounting that the receptionist should have given me the receipt and should have told me that I should be expecting subsequent receipts in the mail. Was it so hard to communicate this to patients? Moving on to the technicians. The woman I had was okay. But she seemed bored when she was putting the attachments on my teeth. I communicated that the grinding was getting uncomfortable, she acknowledged but kept going. Then comes to Dr. Murrell. I've only met him twice. Most time was spent in the initial consult and he seemed fine. Didn't get much face time on my last visit. I was kind of shocked that no one told me about the number of attachments and button I'll be getting and no review of the actual treatment plan before it began. If I had to do this over, I will not go back to this clinic. Some of the staff is grossly incompetent and the doctor himself doesn't even go over the treatment plan. You are just a number at this clinic.

Avoid at all costs!!!! The most time that you will spend with this doctor is at consultation. Thereafter you're just one of the cogs in a wheel. He's not only dismissive and spends less than 5 mins on follow up treatments but seems visibly annoyed by questions. There's no change significant change since my treatment and now I can't speak clearly because my jaw is now mal - aligned!!! After paying a lot of money to correct a lifelong issue. He simply said "there's nothing more that we can do" . Wow!!!

Avoid this orthodontist! He's dismissive, often impatient, sometimes rude, and never explains anything or asks if you have any questions. He'll spend half an hour with you during the initial consultation explaining how he can fix your teeth and what it will cost, however after you become a patient, you will have 30 seconds to a maybe a few minutes maximum with him each visit. He will not spend more time than that. Often his medical opinion/advice is simply bad. I really wish I did more research before selecting him, I very much regret going to him for treatment.

I wouldn't presume to comment on Fred's professional knowledge or ability, but I feel obligated to warn prospective customers(make no mistake; you're a customer, not a patient) of the kind of service you can expect. Condescending, dismissive and glib is an accurate description of his demeanor towards his customers. If you aren't a 'priority' customer you will receive lip service and nothing more from Fred.

I'm a patient from village orthodontics i got my braces off for 7000 bucks and noticed that there was no change, my teeth were the same they were sticking out like always i called the doctor to talk about my teeth if they can do something about it but they said they can't, they charge you more than any other dentist and you don't see a change in your teeth all they want is money i would not recommend village orthodontics if you want to go there then get ready to waste your money i would rather go to a cheap dentist because atleast they charge you less for your teeth even if the treatment doesn't work
