Waited over 6 weeks for a phone appt and now over a week for a doctors note to allow me to return to work. The office is unreachable - no phone contact is only via email where you are ignored. Having no office makes the dr unreachable. Great surgeon my back surgery a success.

Dr. Nikolakis operated on my brain 10 years ago. Less than a year after my operation, I passed my pilot's license medical, and climbed Kilimanjaro 3 times in the last 5 years! I owe my life to him!

If ever you need to see a neurosurgeon for anything that is causing you serious problems with your back, there is no one, no one more knowledgable, more encouraging, and more ethical with good advice to manage serious back pain or, if necessary, advice to go the route of surgery. Dr. Nikolakis takes the time to evaluate followed by advice and his manner is comforting and sound. He is the best!

Dr. Nikolakis operated on me in December 2021, and I believe I owe my ability to walk substantially to his skill (I had a partially severed spinal cord, due to a bone shard sawing its way into the spinal cord in my neck).

Five stars across the board!

I am a 50 year old male who has struggled with Back pain since my youth. In the past 3 years the L4 L5 disc started to protrude into the nerves causing debilitating pain. I had a phone call with Dr. Nikolakis and he explained all the risks associated with the L4 L5 disk replacement. After the phone call with the Dr I had a lot of confidence in him as he as been doing this operation for a long time. For 4 months before the surgery I was not able to work or move around. I was basically stationary for the entire time as the pain was way to much. When it was finally time for the surgery everything went exactly as the Dr said it would. I was home from the hospital the next day. I followed the instructions I was given for my recovery perfectly and got a perfect result. In my wildest dreams I would never have thought that the surgery could go this well!! I am 7 weeks out from my surgery and 100% of pre-surgery pain is gone!! One of the things that I noticed was that the nurses at the hospital all spoke very highly of Dr. Nikolakis and his team.

While I was waiting for my surgery I had the pleasure of interacting with Sue. Sue runs the office for Dr Nikolakis and she was very patient and always replied to my emails promptly. If you have back issues I highly recommend contacting Fraser Spine clinic. They have given me my life back.

Dr. Nikolakis performed a lumbar fusion on me about 7 months ago at Eagle Ridge Hospital. Although I didn’t meet him in person at the hospital ( Thanksgiving Weekend), he phoned my husband to explain that he had accomplished what he meant to do.He also phoned me twice afterwards where I jokingly referred to myself as a tortoise and he said ,” Well, you know who won the race!” I had an in person mtg with him 6 months later. Although my pain is ongoing (load transfer of pain to si joint),he was totally transparent and even said “I must have missed something “) Not an arrogant bone in his body! He is genuine, compassionate, listens well and referred me to a pain specialist for an si joint injection. He is not only a great neurosurgeon but also a very fine man. If I need to have surgery again, I would choose him. (Also, he’s an Alberta boy!!) …We lived many yrs there. An Alberta rose for this man!!!🌹 Also, Sue, his MOA, was very helpful and made me feel at ease. Thank you, Dr. Nikolakis and Sue! You’re the best!!!
