Dr. Pillay was very knowledgeable and kind. He is punctual, especially for a busy physician. He explained everything in a way I could understand and made direct eye contact. He is very straight forward but also takes the time to get to know his patients.

They seem to only care about their botox patients because Insurance covers Botox for migraines. Those patient somehow don't seem to wait too long for appointments or get attitude from receptionist. Angie is a smart person but not respectful even when you are extremely nice to her - very snappy. Dr. Pillay is very smart also.

My husband saw Dr Pillay. This was a very positive experience. This Dr is well spoken, engaged, interested and present! The many, many complaints about his receptionist are harsh. She is abrupt and business like but there is nothing wrong with her. In 20 minutes I bet she made 15 phone calls as well as attending to walk ins and dealing with the Drs orders and such. She is a busy woman! If you are going to a neurologist you obviously have a serious health issue would you prefer a fluffy, chatty receptionist or a competent one? I take competence and efficiency over fluff any day. People need to stop acting like, just because they have a health issue, they should be catered and pandered to. Generally if we give respect we get respect - try it, it works.

Doctor Pillay is a polite brilliant doctor! His receptionist is absolutely HORRIBLE ! Patients be aware ... do not rely on the receptionist to confirm requisition for MRI was successfully sent to the hospital. Follow up yourself with the hospital. If you have to call her to send the requisition again LOOK OUT.

Dr Pilay is an excellent neurologist. He ordered every test necessary to isolate the cause of my husband’s stroke, was very kind and answered all our questions. However, we needed a form filled out to get disability insurance and his receptionist curtly told us she would call us when it was ready. I followed up with her a week later hoping it would be completed and could be submitted before Christmas. I received another curt response with no indication as to when I could come and pick it up. When our insurance company called asking for it, we went to another doctor and had the form completed and submitted within a day. A few days later, we received the completed form in the mail from Dr Pilay’s office along with an invoice for $25. Apparently he charges a fee for filling out this form....something we were not informed about.

Dr. Pillay is an absolutely amazing Doctor. He researches all over the world to find the best treatments for his patients. He is also the most empathetic, caring Neurologist we have ever met. He truly cares. If the treatments aren`t working ,he isn`t happy. Angie is extremely helpful and very caring also. If you treat her with respect, she will treat you with respect. The reviews on here tell me,that you haven`t tried to get to know her. Very thankful for Dr,Pillay and Angie.

If you want, a doctor who is overly enthusiastic about pushing drugs, this is the doctor for you. If you also want a doctor that won't diagnose you he is your guy. Also his secretary is garbage

An excellent doctor, doesn’t hurry you out and answers ALL questions and we mean ALL, he clears all worries and goes beyond. Would highly recommend him.

Receptionist NEVER returns calls - machine answers 100% of time. 7 months after MRI, still no follow up. She is awful!
