Every chance I get I will warn women about this evil woman . Do not go anywhere she practices. I still have nightmares of how evil spirited she was and its been 10 years ! I had a very traumatic birth with DR.Pope. I do not recommended her to ANYONE and by the looks of her reviews especially black women like myself.She did not care about my concerns , she was very rude, and I can not even watch the video of my daughters birth without cringing. She was so forceful with delivering my daughter, I feel blessed that she made it. Black women are 243% more likely to die during birth or due to birth complication and Doctor Pope is an example why. While I was delivering my daughter in pain she had the nerve to say Its not that that serious and I'm making too much noise. Please steer away from her and her practices. A doctor is supposed to give you good vibes but from the moment I met her, I felt darkness. She also did a very sloppy job with my stitches after birth.

Totally unprofessional! First visit was great. The 2nd visit Dr. Pope was cruel, mean-spirited, rude, verbally and psychologically abusive. The only referral I'd send to her office is a pregnant roach.

I do not recommend Dr. Pope. She has a curt bedside manner, was impatient, and wanted to push surgery for a simple procedure of an IUD removal. I went in to her twice for this procedure (second one for an ultrasound) and she would not make an attempt to remove it even after seeing it was in place, rather she insisted I needed an expensive surgery, under anesthesia at the hospital. Needless to say, I got a second opinion and went to another doctor who removed the IUD manually within a matter of seconds. No expensive surgery necessary. I even asked Dr. Pope to attempt a removal and she refused. I guess she gets paid a lot more for surgery than a simple in office procedure. I had to pay a third office visit and go to another doctor, spending $60 each time. Pope's office incorrectly billed my insurance and I was owed a $60 credit for the first visit. I only found out because I called my insurance and they told me so. I am still waiting on a refund even though I brought this to their attention over a month ago. Her office refused to pay me back for the second visit even though Dr. Pope did not perform her duties. If you need an IUD removed, or good OB, go see Dr. James or the midwifes at Intown Midwifery instead.

Her practice has been great through both my pregnancies. The major drawback is that they use another practice to help with the on-call schedule and those doctors are nice but what is the point of rotating through these doctors if they aren't delivering. Yes, I will say though that everything about Dr. Pope is really great and she listen to you if you have concerns or questions!
