The psychiatrist I was seeing left his practice and I needed to find a new psychiatrist. After many calls to other psychiatrists in the area who told me it would be several months before I could even see a doctor, Dr Freeman was able to get me in within a couple weeks. I had read the reviews from others and was concerned about seeing him but I did need my medications refilled so I kept the appointment. I walked in as he was reviewing my medical records. He asked me if anyone had taken a proper history of me and I answered no. He told me that we were going to start from scratch because without a proper history I could not have a proper diagnosis. He is definitely a no-nonsense doctor. I knew at that moment he was the perfect doctor for me. The six months before I saw him I have been bounced around to several different psychiatrists. At every appointment all they did was take out the prescription pad and start writing. When Dr Freeman reviewed my medications, he told me that I was on too many meds and not on the right doses of the ones I needed. He took me off several meds and added one and I left his office with only two med prescriptions. After a couple of weeks of him getting into my history he added one more med and since then I have felt better then I had ever felt. I have been seeing Dr Freeman for 2 years now and I hope he has no plans for retirement because I can't imagine going to any other doctor. He is abrupt and honest and will tell you what you need to know. He does not cuddle you or listen to everyday problems. He is a psychiatrist not a therapist. If you are med seeking do not go to Dr Freeman he will call you out in a heartbeat! He was exactly what I needed and he always makes sure that I'm on the right path. On my last appointment he realized I was struggling and suggested that I go back to therapy. If you're looking for true honest help and a doctor that can put you on the right path I highly suggest Dr Freeman. He will listen to you when you're talking about medical needs and will work with you until he finds the meds that work for you. That has been my experience for the last 2 years and I'm very grateful to have found him. If not for him I wouldn't have been able to get back to my life, my family and my friends.

My husband and I took our daughter to Dr. Freeman to continue evaluation after she was discharged from a mental health center. On the 5th visit we experienced a terrible outcome. He was 35 minutes late (not an issue just fact). He explained that he had been in a meeting and that was the reason for him being late. During the appointment I notice he was quite hyper and nervous. My husband proceeds to explain the events that had occurred with our daughter and he interrupted quite a bit. He had the nerve not mote listed to our daughter who was the patient. What Dr. Does that? A quack!! I also tried explaining some issues and he spoke ahead of me and I had to tell him that he was going ahead of me. Has a poor listening skill which is very important in the medical profession in order to evaluate effectively. He ended the 15 minutes appointment by saying to the patient that he will address the issues next time. After we left the office we discussed the visit and decide to cancel the next appointment. We wrote a letter describing our grievance and turned it to office manager. We discussed what happened and why we were not going to return to Dr. Freeman. Since he has 25 years of experience, I’m wondering if anyone has complained to the medical board about him. Mental health is a serious concern and he is playing with lots of people’s suffering. I hope no one commits suicide; while they are under his care.

If ur looking for a terrible psychiatrist who doesn't listen to his patient then this is the right dr for u! When my wife and I first arrived it seemed to be a pleasant experience. Dr freeman came out of his office and greeted my wife and I. We then entered his office. My wife explained to him the physical part of her medical problems and told him that she's having anxiety and depression because she is unable to do the things she once used to do. He then stated to us "why did they even send u here? I don't know how I can help u. All ur problems are physical. What do they want me to do about it?" My wife then told him that yes she does have physical issues, but she's having anxiety and depression also. He then said that "I can't treat u. I need to see for myself." I asked him what is it u need to see? She just told u she has anxiety and depression. I have anxiety also and I know what it's like. He then asked me "what does anxiety mean to u?" I told him my answer. My wife then started to get anxious and told him that he wasn't even capable of addressing her issue. We then walked out of his office to the receptionists desk. He then came out of his office and began to argue with us and called me a liar in front of another dr., denying any of the things that were mentioned before. This dr is very arrogant, self centered, unprofessional, uncompassionate, and is by far the worst dr that I have come in contact with and my wife has worked with many Drs as she is a nurse. A waste of time and governments money.

Avoid this dr at all costs,

I recently went to Dr. Freeman for my first appt with him, as I had to switch because my other psychiatrist was leaving. I arrived for my appt and it went fine, until I sat down and he asked me why I was there. I answered him. He then looked through my medical records in front of him and was quiet for a while. He then told me he was going to re diagnose me because "all the pcm's, psychologists, and psychiatrists you have seen so far don't know what they are talking about and are wrong". I have been diagnosed with the same conditions for well over 10+ years. He began to write me new prescriptions followed with thw comment "they will make you feel less crazy" he told me to schedule a follow up with him for the next available appt, i just walked out of his office and didn't look back. That was the first and last time i will ever see him! . Freeman was very irrogant, disrespectful, and most certainly unprofessional in every way possible! I wouldn't recommend him to a stuffed animal let alone a human being! Stay clear of this dr. He will make you feel worse about yourself. Worst Dr. Ever!

Dr Freeman is an abrupt, no nonsense type of doctor. I can understand how he could be seen as abrasive and was concerned when I first went to see him. He has been my 7th Psychiatrist. I wont go to anyone else. I am annoyed that I'm usually not seen on time, but other than that I don't have any problems seeing him.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Freeman. I was seen 30 min after the scheduled time, but that is actually normal & expected when seeing a psychiatrist, so that didn't bother me. He's not mean, but isn't extra friendly like most psychiatrists I've seen. I feel that most people writing these negative reviews may be over sensitive & are used to psychiatrist's somewhat babying them, lol, but i could be wrong. I think that he is very intelligent and does want to help his patients even though he may not show it in a way that most people are used to seeing. The information he told me from only talking to me for 20-30 minutes ONE time actually helped me identify with my problems BETTER than with any other psychiatrist I've had, & they knew me for a while. He does correct you when you're wrong, but I like that. It educates me. He is direct and strict. If you take things too personally or your feelings get hurt easily, I wouldn't recommend him. Looking forward to my next appointment.

i went to this dr. and he was flat out insulting he messed with my meds so much that it almost caused me to loose my job. Then tried to charge me $45 for an appt. that i missed because his staff didn't answer the phone to tell me when i was supposed to be there. He would ask me to tell him how i was feeling and the say that he didn't understand what i was trying to tell him because I wasn't using big enough words. he is the worst dr. that i have ever seen and i don't recomend him to anyone. And when I tryed to get him to fill out my emfp paperwork like he is supposed to do he just simply refused, stated that I didn't have something on my end filled out and just gave it back. I have tryed to get him to fill out since then but he just says on our next appt. but when you call to try to get an appt his staff acts like they dont want to talk to you and say that he doesn't have any appt availible. i am switching drs!
