I consulted with Dr. Wong about a uterine surgery but my questions were not taken seriously. He was condescending and brushed off my concerns about pre-surgery drugs and the procedure itself. I was so uncomfortable that I rescheduled the surgery. When I went back to talk to him again, he was dismissive and upset that I had rescheduled. I asked my MD to refer me to a different doctor and I'm so glad I did. The next surgeon was compassionate as well as skilled. It was reassuring to have that doctor both pre and post surgery. I would hate to think of how Dr. Wong's bedside manner would have been after what was a trying and scary surgery. Do not be bullied by your doctor, especially a surgeon.
