I missed an appointment and I have called dr Hoffman’s office 5 times trying to reschedule and get refills to hold me until I can be seen. I left 2 messages with his staff, 2 messages on dr Hoffman’s line and one message requesting refills. Still no return call. I should say due to the type of medicine I am on it is very dangerous that I have run out. I don’t know why dr Hoffman has not returned my calls I wonder if his practice has been shut down.

Never remembers what happened or what was talked about on previous visits, writes scripts and never keeps up with them, I had to return scripts because he had issued me way too many for the amount of time between appointments. Has this weird shifty feet deal when he is typing that is concerning and on top of that the wait times for appointments were ALWAYS an hour behind schedule for some reason even if you have the earliest appointment. Very unprofessional using curse words during appointments and speaking his opinions on non-medical subjects. Find someone else and don't waste your time with this doctor.

My son had two appointments with Dr. Hoffman. My son had a history of mental health breakdowns/hospitalizations and a diagnosis of Schizo-affective disorder. He was seeing Dr. Hoffman for his adverse reaction to a prescribed anti-psychotic injection from another facility. They did not get along well primarily because Dr. Hoffman seemed unwilling to believe my son's account of his symptoms. Dr. Hoffman prescribed several different anti depressants, which did not help. They had only two consultations.

A year later, I was helping my son apply for disability for his condition. SSA (Disability Determination Services) requested a evaluation from Dr. Hoffman concerning my son's condition. He wrote on the form, "As of last visit, Pt WAS NOT (capitalized and underlined twice) mentally disabled, he needed to get a job, which is in his best long-term interest."

Further down the form concerning whether the patient is able to manage his own funds he wrote, "Fully capable of managing his own funds".

Hoffman's comments were absolutely false, which obviously complicated and delayed the process of collecting disability.

Be careful about using his services if you ever expect to apply for disability.

I think Dr. Hoffman is wonderful. I was in a deep depression and he helped me tremendously. I owe him a lot. He talks when he needs to and listens when I need him to listen.

Dr Hoffman has been working with me for a few months with medical management and with pain management.. I do not like that you have to leave a message on the phone when there is somebody sitting there and virtually doing nothing.

Dr. Hoffman is on of the most rude professional I have ever known. He argues with his staff in front of his patients. And, the language was unprofessional at times. He prescribes medicine without following through to evaluate the effects. I will never go back to this individual or recommend him.

(The first time this was written, it gave him 5 stars!) I just now checked back... This is a lousy "Doctor" *DO NOT RISK IT* He simply shows NO interest in truly helping YOU, but he does take great interest in getting you set on extremely strong narcotic medications... and folks, not just one or two, but should I say multiple, quite LARGE "Med-Cocktails" of uppers, downers, etc... & while sitting in front of his laptop, clicking & typing away while you try speaking of things that are quite upsetting at times, is just hard, especially when there is little to no input(for about 15 minutes on average), only to have him say very little of anything useful or hopeful right as he gets ready for his next patient, is just wrong. You are then rescheduled for your next "visit" & simply sent off w/ 3-4 scripts, and not much else. This practice is just not right folks! Sadly I'm sure business is still booming though... *Please don't risk a Pill-Doc folks. It's only bad news in the long run.
