I came to Dr Wallace after being diagnosed and treated for Lyme Disease by my primary care doctor. I was still having symptoms including a fever the day before seeing him. Upon my visit he was very short with me. He dismissed my positive Lyme blood test, informing me it must be a false positive if the treatment didn't work. He told me I could see a LLMD Lyme specialist but he thinks they are quacks! He said it's possible my test results were accurate, but even if they were he'd treat the same way and do nothing else. He even suggested maybe I'm depressed and should try antidepressants! Seriously? ! I'm probably one of the happiest people, despite my health. I felt insulted and not taken seriously. I've decided to see someone at University of Michigan medicine that will take me seriously.

Dr. John Wallace has gone beyond the call of duty of most doctors. I was seeing a local doctor for months after the doctor did surgery on my foot, but the infection would not go away. I wasn't getting any where until I saw Dr. John Wallace who was extremely knowledgeable in the infection I had, he was very patient, explained everything in detail, and spent as much with me that I needed. He was always there for followups or any questions I needed to ask. To this day, my foot has healed perfectly. He came to me immediately when I was in ICU in Marquette, he was always there when I needed him. He cares about his patients and shows the compassion and understanding they need. He is truly the best doctor I have ever met in my life. I sincerely feel if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here today. I would recommend Dr. John Wallace to anyone who needs his care.

Dr. Wallace was very personable and described my treatment very thoroughly. He made me feel extremely comfortable and treated me with respect. During my treatment he watched me very closely due to my family background with suicide and depression. Whenever I had a question or a concern and called the office he called me.back personally. He spent a great deal of time with me at each and every one of my appointments and reassured me if I had any doubts or concerns. He is definetly a doctor who cares about his patients well being and treatment not just getting as many patients in and out the door to make more money. I wish he was able to be my primary care physician he is by far the best doctor I have ever seen.

Dr. Wallace is one of the best listeners I have seen, as well as one is completely comfortable with him. I agree with the people that had good ratings and noticed similiar excellent qualities. I cannot understand the one negative rating. Unlike that, I surely felt he was attentive, did NOT look down at you, very knowledgeable. I consider myself lucky to have him as my infectious disease Dr.

Very detail oriented, and seemed to care whether or not I understood what he was saying. A refreshing change from many MD's!
