Dr. Altenburg did both total knee replacements with a two-week break. For sometime before choosing a doctor, I researched the internet for top-rated surgeons. Dr. Altenburg came up, over and over, with no other knee surgeons in Idaho even mentioned! Dr. Altenburg's clinic is 100 miles away and I eagerly scheduled a surgery. My surgery was three years ago and I had a very quick recovery. I'm an outfitter and guide with a rigorous daily schedule and for the last couple of years and I've been able to do everything that I did before my knees became painful. I've referred Dr. Altenburg to numerous others and without exception, their experience was as great as mine!

I was very satisfied with dr. Altenberg but his office staff and nurses are very very rude. Don't know if I will continue to see him because dealing with his staff is so infuriating.

Dr. Altenburg did 2 total knee replacements on me. I have multiple immune diseases and medical allergy problems. He researched my particular problems and changed some procedures accordingly. He was also very warm and personal. His knowledge and training was very impressive. I would very highly recommend him and I'm so glad I went to him.

This doctor did a total hip replacement on me. I would highly recommend him for this procedure. He also returned a phone call on a Sunday.
