Dr Scibilai is an excellent and caring doctor who explains in detail his recommended procedure and the reasoning behind it. He very successfully removed cataracts from both of my eyes and I am very pleased with the outcome. In MY case, where I grew up with monovision, I was able to have one lens focused close-up, so I now need NO eyeglasses for either distance or reading. This is definitely not recommended for everyone, but since I was already used to it, this choice has worked very well for me.
If you are determined to go this route, I understand the doctor may prescribe temporary contact lenses for you to go through a period of adjustment to see for sure if this method is your best option.

Anyhow, Dr. Scibilia is one of the best eye surgeons around, but long office wait time can be annoying. Don't go there in a hurry to leave. Dr. Scibilia is well worth the wait.

Dr. S is a brilliant and caring surgeon. He performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. I am now seeing 20/20. He took the time to put me at ease by explaining everything to me in terms I could understand. I would highly recommend him.

Spent 4 hours - even after his office closed and his staff was gone, treating my wife. Dr. Scibilia wouldn't let her go until her condition was under control. He took the time to explain to us in great detail, the condition, the causes and the course of treatment.
