This Dr. is strait up rude! She is banned from hospitals and is one of those Dr's who is only working for the money.

Although I was worried about the negative comment from someone here, I've heard fantastic things about Dr. Ruiz and decided to take a chance. Dr. Ruiz has been simply amazing for my Senior mother. We, both are very appreciative.

Dr. Ruiz had care of my elderly father who is in hospice care. I am his only caretaker. He has dementia and severe chronic pain, and needs to be sufficiently medicated so that he does not injure himself. Dr. Ruiz did not respond to my concerns or take enough time to communicate with me. She did not follow the recommendations of the hospice doctor and nurses. Finally I told her I wanted the hospice doctor to be in charge of my controlling my father's symptoms. She said, "Well, you'll have to find another doctor because I don't work that way." She asked why I wanted to change, and I told her I thought she was rigid and impersonal. I was going to give examples, but she interrupted me, saying, "You know what? I AM rigid and impersonal, and you'll have to find yourself another doctor." She hung up on me, with no offer of a referral to another doctor. It was 5:30 Friday night. This is patient abandonment, which is illegal. She was astonishingly unprofessional and rude.

Dr. Ruiz has no staff and submits claims her self BUT lacks knowledge and understanding of the claims process. While I cannot complain about Dr. Ruiz's medical care it is her lack of professionalism and defensive manner that I took offense to.
