This practice is wonderful and I have loved seeing Dr. Palsky over the years. The staff is amazing; however, Dr. Shapiro seemed very condescending and rude to our family when we recently were in the office for a visit. Maybe he was tired or overly stressed out? I don’t think he has the same genuineness and kindness of Dr. Palsky and should take the time to acquire a better bedside manner for his patients.

I absolutely love Dr. Shapiro! I started out with Dr. Palsky at the same office but he wasn't a good fit for our family so we switched to Dr. Shapiro and couldn't be happier. The phone nurses are great as well. The front desk staff are very rude and could benefit greatly from a staff in service training day! But Dr. Shapiro is great so I can deal with front desk clerical staff ignorance to get to him!

Dr. Shapiro is a very nice man. He really cares about his patients. I took my daughter to him until she was 9months old (we moved unfortunately). Dr. Shapiro took his time to explain things to me and address any concerns or questions I had. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He even went out of his way to find information for me about how to donate my surplus breast milk. He actually physically examined my daughter and interacted with her. He is very polite and down to earth. The nurses are very patient, friendly, and polite also. I would recommend taking your child to Dr. Shapiro.

Dr. Shapiro is the best pediatrician. We were unhappy with our last doctor and switched over to Dr. Shapiro 6 months ago. We are so pleased! Dr. Shapiro was extremely patient with my son and we did not feel at all rushed. Exam was thorough and he is clearly very knowledgeable. He definitely cares a lot about his patients and I would highly recommend him to friends/family.

Our son was diagnosed with an ear infection and was put on a high dose of antibiotics. We left a voicemail for the nursing staff and Dr. Shapiro after starting antibiotics because his fever continued to increase after three days of being on antibiotics. No one ever called us back that day or over any subsequent days. Over the next few days, his symptoms continued to get worse and he was ultimately admitted to Children's Philadelphia with total Renal Failure due to amoxicilling reacting with a viral infection. Very disappointed in the practice for failing to call back and ceasing antibiotic use or at least warning us to check in to hospital. We got lucky in this case, hopefully there isn't a next time.

I recently changed pediatricians, because my son's old pediatrician told us he had Autism because of a speech delay, when I researched more, I found out that Autism can't be be diagnosed till after 3 yrs, my son is only 15 months. We've also had quite a few other scares with his other pediatrician as well. So I changed over to Delaware Valley Pediatrics, I originally wanted to see Dr. Halvorsen, but she wasn't accepting any new patients, so they scheduled me with Dr. Shapiro, and honestly, I couldn't be more pleased. He spent almost 45 minutes with my son, which is unheard of, usually doctor's are in and out within 5-10 mins. He was very thorough, and he assured me that my son doesn't have Autism, it's either just a speech delay or he might have a hearing problem. He told me to call him back within a month after the hearing test and update him. I'm so pleased with Del Val Pediatrics and Dr. Shapiro! My search for a qualified doc has finally ended!
