She is terrible. Accuses you of lying if you tell her something like if you have time, you are basically rushed out of the room like it's not her problem. Not much of a bedside manner to her at all.

I have been seeing Dr. Andrea Delrue for about five years. She is an extremely knowledgeable and skilled doctor. I feel so blessed to have her. She is very devoted to her profession and works long hours in order to see all the patients who need her. I suspect that some people mistake her efficiency for coldness. I personally find her efficient, as well as warm and caring.

I finally have the guts to write this review. As a person who was bedridden for over a decade and misdiagnosed by many, many doctors both in Canada and the US I must say that Dr. Delrue is the only doctor on par with my then hateful and absolutely abusive GP. Dr. Delrue, your specialty is NOT Lyme disease, nor do you have the knowledge nor expertise to comment about my very serious and life changing dx. I reported this horrible doctor to the CPSO and thanks to the 'old boys'' network got my GP even more abusive and hateful towards me. Seeing her was a complete and utter waste of time, as one other poster mentioned, she judges you the moment you walk in the door. I did not need the extra stress of seeing this doctor, time for patients to stand up against arrogant and utterly shameful behavior. Thank goodness I do not live in Canada anymore and have awesome health care with amazing and compassionate doctors. If not for my persistence I would have ended up in a nursing home under the age of 50. Shame on doctors like her.

Dr Delrue saw me after I was admitted with atrial fibrillation in st catharines general. Her bedside manner was horrible. I got the impression that she hated me right away. During my stay at the hospital, my heart rate was at 175 most ofvthe time. After getting it lower but in heavy arrythmia. I was released to go home. In followup at her office, I had asked her not to press on my umbilical hernia because it was painful and caused nausea, she looked me right in the eye and with the look of a petulant child, pushed very hard on this spot. Despite my full disclosure of my habits, she announced her final synopsis as " holiday heart" . Apparently people who drink heavily sometimes get racing heartbeats....I only drink very little and only at special events...admittedly, I smoke marijuana like a champ. Her bedside manner was the worstIve ever encountered and other physicians questioned why she wouldnt do a cardioversion or sleep test. I refer to her as a quack and would warn anyone away from her care.....I would not be surprised to hear she is a single woman....perhaps why she is so sour.

I'd say that her approach can be a bit frosty and negative. I wouldn't question her knowledge but a bit of respect for the client when facts have been researched, would be appreciated. Maybe the engine needs to be warmed up a bit. Let's see what happens........We need someone good to guide us along with this disease process, so running away is not an option. Daily frustrations and people not doing what they should do, is obviously an issue, but we are human after all. A little kindness and less intimidation goes a long way.

I have been seeing Dr. Delrue for a few years now. I do not find her arrogant in the least. She is very compassionate in what she does and she makes you feel like she truly cares for your well being. I have been a diabetic for over 12 years now and my levels are not very controlled. I have only myself to blame for this as I do not take very good care of myself. Dr. Delrue has been very patient with me and has explained the ramifications of my actions. She has taken the time to educate me and even lecture me, at times, to make me see that diabetes is a serious disease and should not be taken lightly. She HAS listened to me but has NOT judged me. I don't understand how some of these people can write these posts. She is NOTHING like how these people portray her. I absolutely LOVE her and will continue to go to her for as long as she is willing to take me on.
