Avoid seeing him if you can. He is not up-to-date in his knowledge of allergy and immunology diagnosis and treatment, but I guess he doesn't feel the need since he has no competition for patients. if you read a few recent medical articles in the field you'll know more than him does. He was a disappointment even for rural Maine. My PCP knew more than he did about my immune system illness.

Dr. Dyer made hasty medical decisions without even bothering to read my chart. He was in a rush to leave me even though I was still asking questions as he tried to walk out the door. (I was the 1st appointment of the day, I showed up early, and there was 10 minutes left in my appointment time). He quickly rattled off abbreviated & confusing answers without checking to see if I understood. He tried to put me back on a med that was damaging me (which was the reason for seeing him in the first place). I also had to get another blood sample because the office failed to test for everything that I asked for the first time. The nurses kept telling me how great he was, and how thorough he is and how he spends a lot of time with each patient.
