This Dr. Has no bedside manner. He and his staff are ignorant and rude. I went to him because of a specific advanced Lyme diagnosis, and he said I have a dysfunctional family because I was living home at 23 years old. This man has no concept of reality. He should not have a medical license. I have 2 doctors and 2 lawyers in my family, DO NOT see this doctor.

Dr. DeSilva is a very good doctor who cares about your problem. He does not just give meds to give, he wants to make sure you are getting what you need to "help" you!! A++ all the way...

I have read a couple negative reviews here, and really have to wonder about the people who posted them. I have been seeing Dr. DeSilva for over 15 years. Do yourself a favor and ignore these negative reviews. This Dr. is so kind, patient, caring, concerned, on time and yes you do need to see him once a month if you are on certain medications. Thank your lucky stars there is a Dr.out there who cares, insists on seeing you in person so he can get a full picture of how you are doing. On a few days I have dragged myself there only to leave being so glad I went. He's the best, and I am so grateful to have a Dr. who makes sure I get in there and keeps up with how I am doing. Why would you want a Dr. who didn't? That is what a psychiatrist dies. If he doled out pills over the phone he would just be a pill pusher. That term does not in any way reflect this doctors reputation. I am sort of angered someone would trash this doctor so lightly on a website rating. I know this Dr. Very well. I doubt in those negative rating cases that the problem was the Dr.

Thought it was going well... he was kind and seemed genuinely interested in helping... After a relapse to previous difficulties, I left 2 or 3 messages requesting appointments and they never returned my calls. Very unprofessional.

I've seen Dr DeSilva for almost 20 years and he has been a positive influence in my life. He has helped me handle my depression and goes out of the way to see you when you have an urgent issue or will talk to you on the phone if you can not make it to his office. Additionally he is very knowledgable, resourceful and insightful. I highly recommend seeing him if you need help.

i have going to dr desilva for over 5 years. he is there always for me. i had to get in touch with him because i needed to talk to him about a problem. he called me back with in 15 mins. he saw me less then 2 hours later. he helped me thru my "crisis" and showed me a way to prevent it from happening again. i trust dr. desilva and have recommended him to my friends. they also advised me of the quality of work he does. i cannot say enough about him. thank you

I have been seeing Dr. DeSilva for over 7 years for depression. He has always been "there" for me, night or day. I can't that about too many doctors. He understands the changes it can go through and carefully, ever so carefully monitors my medications. He has seen me through family illnesses, deaths, days of feeling so low I can't think straight. And we talk about things until I can handle each situation. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. DeSilva.

I've been seeing Dr DeSilva for two years after seeing horrible psychiatrists. He has helped me with my medical leave from work taking care of all the paperwork and also saw me after I lost my health insurance. He saw me on an emergency basis with no apt. He takes the time to listen and has been available to answer all my questions. I thoroughly recommend Dr DeSilva. Mia that works in the office is the nicest lady I've dealt with in any doctors office.

I have been going to Dr. DiSilva for many years now. His office "staff" is only 2 people, but they are very nice and accommodating. The Dr. himself is very friendly and always seems to genuinely care what is going on in my life (sometimes even more than i do). I have never waited more than 15 minutes to see him and sometimes if i arrive early he even takes me before my appointment. The only issue is that to keep my prescriptions filled I need to see him every month. A bit of a hassle but from my experience this is pretty standard. I began seeing him after deciding to leave another Dr. who also made me go every month for Rx's, though that Dr. (NOT Dr. DiSilva) would usually keep me waiting in the waiting room 1-2 hours after my scheduled appointment. Even by having to go every month, with Dr DiSilva I'm never inconvenienced more than 30 minutes... total. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a psychiatrist.

I recommend this doctor to anyone. He really cares about you and your progress. I trust his knowledge of mental and medication. I feel so happy to have found a doctor who I can trust.
