This is not a good doctor at all! His only concern is for the insurance money. He will only prescribe 30 days at a time so you can pay him his co-pay. Hence if you have limited visits, you don't get your medicine. He is also rude and cold--go figure and he suppose to be helping people. He gets you hooked so you can keep coming back & you have to pay him to get your drugs so to speak--just like a dealer right??? So sad...He also makes you feel uncomfortable with probing inappropriate questions. This is by far the worst psychiatrist I've seen in 2 decades! I cant even get to see a therapist because I pay him!

I have been seeing Dr. DeSilva for years and have not thought of changing doctors once even though I now live about 45 minutes away from his office. He has great hours catered to working professionals, he is very helpful, his staff is wonderful, and he does his best to work with your insurance company and prescription plan. There is little to no wait time at his office and his staff is a pleasure to see and speak with. He has easily adjust his treatment to account for changes in my lifestyle. He addresses every issue or question with professional responses and I have felt no problem whatsoever in discussing my personal life and problems with him. He is also available on short notice in case of emergencies and he checks his voice mail frequently. I have no issue in recommending him to others.

This is a wonderful Dr. I am so glad I was able to find him when I first moved here 9 years ago. He is kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable regarding mental illness mangement, and Rx. for depression and mood stabilization.Very easy to talk to. Has been my saving grace through many tragedies.

most people don't take the time to post good experiences. I have been going for 6 months. SO FAR SO GOOD!! I recommend that if you want to sit and talk, you should see a phychologist and a psychiatrist. (past experiences).

Stay away. Unfriendly and rude. Rushed me out of the office. Only concern was getting re-imbursed from insurance company.

not helpful, no office stafff, takes calls during appoinment, lost my chart, would not refill prescriptions on time, told me to go see someone else instead of trying to help me , I also founf out he uses his MD ststis to get out of traffic tickets and other responsibilities. Horrible doctor. also has bad hours 11am-6pm. I would not recommend. He is nice but that is about it and you need more from a dr then thatespecially in mental health.

I saw this doctor as a new patient & he told me he didn't want to get involved with me as a patient because he didn't want to get involved with "paperwork" and "medical leave forms" that I needed for my employer. An MD should not "choose" their patients because they may come with some "red-tape"...he just didn't want to be bothered. He also sent me for a toxicity test & never even called me to tell me the results.
