Dr Rulan was very rude. I told him what I was experiencing and he would interrupt me and say that I was wrong. I told him that was why I was here to see him. Dr Rulan can be very condescending and unprofessional. As I was walking into the exam room, I overheard him make a rude comment about his previous patient to his nurse assistant. Makes me wonder what he said about me. I do not recommend Dr Rulan to anyone.

Dr. Rullan will push his most expensive treatment exoderm peel even if it will do more harm than good. He claims it will help with deep acne scars and deep wrinkles but it did not even help with the shallowest of my scars or tiny fine lines, not even the red marks. I paid 5 grand and ended up with more scars and hypopigmentation. Once he had my money, he could care less about my concerns regarding seeing more scarring. He actually walked out on me and told the LVN in a condesceding annoyed voice that I just did not get it. Instead of taking the time to comfort me, he stormed out when I was feeling very vulnerable. All he cared about is my money.

Dr. Rullan is a very kind and caring physician. He is always on top of the latest information in the dermatology field. He truly aims to please his patients and will not mislead anyone to do a procedure that he feels will not benefit them. He has high integrity and is admired by those who have been helped by him.

Dr. Rullan is a miracle worker. When I developed cystic acne after college, he healed me with agressive but exact treatment. I have no scars and had no problems with Accutane as he prescribed it. Then later in life, when I developed eczema and other doctors told me that I would have to live with it and treat it topically for the rest of my life (I didn't understand that, sicne I wasn't born with it). Dr. Rullan calmly assured me that he can fix it with no problem, and he did. He treated it exactly and completely. No problems with it now! Another time, I had hair loss due to stress (and so did a friend of mine before her wedding). We both went to Dr. Rullan, and he prescribed a particular treatment that really worked! He is a perfectionist with your skin, and he is the most sincere, caring doctor who takes the time to listen and explain. I now live on the East Coast, but I will make a point to see Dr. Rullan when I am in San Diego/Chula Vista. He is wonderful!

Dr. Rullan is a great dermatologist. You can tell once you step into his office. After watching his videos in the waiting room a million times, you eventually realize it is true. His staff is incredible.
