Sept 16th I went to Lacombe Hosp. Emergency with a very soar leg wound of 10 weeks which was progressively getting worse, (Being hit with a rock from lawnmower July 5th ) seeing 3 different Drs, in Lacombe walk-In Clinic . & 1 Walk-In Calgary who finally took a X-Ray but wound getting worse, Dr. Unger took a look at the X-Ray, informed me there was still a stone in the wound. I was so shocked! he operated immediatly , and all pain is gone! I can't thank Dr Unger enough. Thank you - You gave me my life back!

I went to the ER in fear I was miscarrying, he gave me a urine preg test, said it’s still positive and to keep taking them all weekend to see if they stay positive or turn negative, that’s it. No blood test and no sympathy. After knowing what I know now I’m well aware that this is in no way valid medical advice. A simple blood test to check my levels could’ve saved me from surgery 3 days later for an ectopic pregnancy. He also told me this news in front of other people in the same room. “You might be miscarrying, if you are there’s nothing we can do, just keep taking pregnancy tests”
Absolutely NOT ok on any level.

Dr Matthew Unger has without a doubt saved my life. I went to him for a lump and got me in to see a specialist that same afternoon. Had surgery that same night even, caught my cancer at stage 1. Thank you so much dr Unger!

Dr. matthew unger is on of the best doctors in Lacombe. he is friendly and knowledge doctor ever. i recommended him as a doctor for anyone was looking for a doctor.

12 years back when I moved to Lacombe I was lucky to have 2 nurses on my street and both recommended Matt Unger and were they right as never have I had a better doctor. Actually the entire staff in his building including the other doctors as I’ve seen 2 in the 12 years when he was unavailable have been excellent.

Dr. Unger has looked after me for over 12 years. Most caring and thoughtful Dr. I have ever had the please to work with. He truly looks after his patients.

Dr Unger has been our family doctor for 6 years now. I initially met him when I went into labour and my Doc couldn't be found. He was calm and very helpful in transferring me to Red Deer (as I was an attemping V-bac needing c-section). He has always been amazing with my children as well as with my developing health issues. He always ensures my husband and I are taken care of and discretely assesses our mental health along with everything else. When he is unavailable, his wife takes over and is as amazing as he is. All-in-all so thankful for them both.
