Love this doctor and staff. He never rushes through your appt. and really listens to symptoms/complaints, also willing to refer you to specialists if/when necessary.

I wouldn't trade him for all the doctors. He is kind, and knows what he is talking about. I feel safe in his care.

The nursing home for which Dr. McLane was/is responsible and I tried for three days to get him to visit his very sick patient who had very labored breathing and ultimately died the day after he finally visited her. This doctor had eliminated an antibiotic which had been prescribed for pneumonia by a hospital doctor prior to her transfer to the nursing home. The patient apparently died from infection although the death certificate signed by the doctor listed "acute respiratory failure and septicemia" as the cause of death. During the ordeal this doctor was very difficult to contact. After the death the doctor refused to have any contact with the family of the deceased. The Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners found no fault with this doctor and stated that he "met the expected standard of care."

Dr McLane is the best dr anyone could ever have. He is caring,understanding and very very smart. He never makes you feel that you are taking too much of his timeor that you ask too many questions. He is a good person along with being a great doctor. Bessemer is lucky to have him here.

Dr. Mclane has been my doctor for many years now.You will have to wait for him, but it is worth it.He is a concerned doctor and wants to help you with any problems you are having. He listens and understands what you are telling him and going through. I highly recommend Dr. Mclane to anyone who wants a doctor that is caring and concerned.If you have a problem, and he gives you medicine he will tell you if it doesn't work let me know A.S.A.P.. So he can help you with what is ailing you. Thank you for all your years of commitment.

All of my family has been using Dr. McLane for 26 years he's the best. You call his office and you talk to a person and not a machine.

Excellent diagnostic skills. Takes the time needed to completely evaluate your situation. Appointments may be delayed because of additional time spent with earlier appointments, but he gives you the same courtesy and time needed. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He noticed a new heart arrythemia that were not present a few months ago when I had my annual cariac checkup. Excellent doctor.
