I agree with every word of the other reviewer who gave a rating of 1. Dr. Fibus talks pure psycho-babble.

I live in pretty far away and the drive to Dr Fibus Sherman Oaks office is a bit of a long one, but its worth it. He was able to mend the majority of holes in my relationship and we have been going strong ever since. Yes we still fight but it’s reduced by over 95%, the most important part is that we have the “TOOLS” to understand what is going on, we are able to walk away for a couple minutes to work on our thoughts, to try and see what the other one is feeling or trying to say or why are they hurt. Before seeing Dr Fibus I would just yell and scream and not hear a word my girlfriend was say, now I am able to sit and listen without trying to over power the situation and in the end I truly feel like a much better man for doing so.

Dr. Fibus' method of getting couples to open up is completely ineffective and counter-productive. The techniques he used weren't the problem. The problem was Dr. Fibus' refusal to move on to another topic. He kept probing and proding me for 45 minutes, even after I asked if we could move on and that I was getting uncomfortable. Quite frankly, he acted like a bully. Both my girlfriend and I left feeling emotionally ****ed by this man. He didn't give us any advice to deal with the laundry list of issues he pried out of us other than these words of wisdom: "Try not to talk about what was said here because you're lacking the necessary tools to deal with this in a healthy manner." How can he open us up emotionally and just expect us to not talk about it? Not realistic and very unprofessional.His response to my concerns ammounted to scheduling more sessions at a clip of $175 an hour.My hope is that other couples won't have to go through what we went through.Don't go to Dr.Fibus!
