Dr. Trillet was dismissive of me and did not order a biopsy for a lesion that was causing me pain. I saw Dr. Trillet for seven years, and he kept telling me it was nothing to worry about. I finally switched providers, and guess what? That thing that Dr. Trillet dismissed was cancer.

I was left traumatized by this doctor and still have not mentally or emotionally recovered after 4 years. I visited him to officially diagnose my endometriosis through exploratory laparoscopy. During my pre-op appointment I explained that I was throwing up and passing out from my period pain even after taking ibuprofen and asked if there was anything else I could do to manage the pain in the meantime. He brushed my pain aside and told me to just take ibuprofen and use a heating pad. I cried in the parking lot knowing I had two periods to get through before my surgery. Following my surgery he didn’t wait until I was fully conscious to post-op me and I still have no recollection of that conversation. I also had a dangerous reaction to the anesthesia where my heart rate dipped to 38 . The alarm was blaring and the nurse kept coming in and silencing it. I wasn’t strong enough to speak. Meanwhile, I was barely able to stay conscious and was using any will power I had to keep myself breathing and force my heart rate back up. Because no one acknowledged this happened I didn’t say anything and still regret this since it isn’t in my medical record and if I ever need general anesthetic again they may not take my concerns seriously. The details of the surgery were not explained to me ahead of time. I didn’t know I had two options to eradicate my existing lesions (one option being more effective but takes longer) he chose the more convenient method and my endometrial pain came back in two months. At my post-op appointment he called my uterus “grotesquely normal” , maybe just to remind me that he thought I was exaggerating my pain levels (even though the amount of endometrial tissue has nothing to do with pain level). Since then I have gone through 40 hours of labor and delivered my daughter by c-section and this was a breeze compared to the pain I experienced every month during my period. In summary, Dr. Trillet used offensive and reductive language and omitted important information when preparing me for surgery. I would not recommend his services if you have anything but normal female health concerns.

This doctor said he had never heard of someone having hemorroids with an IUD. Ignored requests to follow up with the additional side effects and to gave it removed. Migraines were so severe it was becoming intrusive. Had to have my PCP remove it. Claimed "my body, my choice" but then ignored me. Didn't read over my chart and ignored that this was a treatment for endometriosis, not birth control. Would never recommend him.

Great experience all around. Birth went well, some surprises, but handled very well. Kind and supportive throughout.

Lied throughout my prenatal care. Was not supportive of my birth plan. Performed procedures I did not want without medical indication. Pushed me into an unwanted cesarean section based on arbitrary time limits. Took over six hours to return to hospital after the nurse called him about a problem with my monitor. Does not value or respect women's choices regarding birth.

    Biography

During the very first baby delivery that Dr. Trillet attended in medical school, he cried. The labor and deliver nurses told him that was a sign – and they were right. Now, he’s excited to come to work every day because he gets to help deliver babies and there is nothing better than that! Beyond delivering babies, he enjoys hysteroscopic and robotic surgeries as well as helping patients get through challenging situations.Dr. Trillet loves the sun and water and is an avid sports fan – especially the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks – and finds that sports are a great release and escape. He also gives back to several worthy causes. He feels God has given him the ability to do what he does and he tries to give back some of what he has been blessed with.I approach each day with the attitude of how can I help someone today? How can I help change someone's life for the better? Even if that means just being there to listen.
